Good stuff Pete. Great perspective on German Watches. IMO under $1k Microbrands are displacing Seiko @ that price point. Also , I think the Omega SMP300 owns the $4k space and feel they can be had for that price. Cheers.

I have an eight inch (20cm) wrist and am comfortable with watches from 36mm(an Invicta ;-) ) to 45mm and as you say its about wrist presence and look.

Surprised you didn’t mention Junghans among the great German brands — it’s one of my favorites along with Stowa and Glashütte Original.
I too am in love with JLC’s history, but I’m only a fan of the Polaris and the Geophysic—though I probably won’t even buy one JLC so their limited catalogue doesn’t trouble me.

Dad will be pleased to hear you mention GP his favourite brand, but if money 💰 was not a road block I would of though you & Dad would be lining up together for one of the GF’s Earth 🌍 GMT’s Pete.

PS. Dad & I would say best release for 2020 is his Moser Streamliner such a beautiful watch & the first time I have fallen in love 😍 so much with a bracelet other than the AP.
