i never observed a scene with this much focus p.s i LOVE that music its so powerful god damn it

I loved this scene. Even the loud music blaring over the dialogue makes you want to inch closer to listen to the story as you normally do when talking in a club 👏🏼

I always use the phrase “the water under the golden gate is freezing cold.”

This scene is my motivation to be actually successful at the university as well as later in the future after my university. Maybe I also try an own business one day

i really like this scene cuz he so desperately wants to be like sean that sean himself even says "don't be impressed by this" but then at the end of the convo zuck asks "do you ever think about that girl?" and sean says no. but at the end of the movie zuck sends his ex a friend request cuz he never stopped thinking about her. hes just at his core not like sean. at least in the movie lmao.

The sound mixing is INCREDIBLE here. It sounds LOUD in the club and yet you can hear every line of dialog clearly. Christopher Nolan should learn something from this.

I always felt they took inspiration for this scene from the first Fast and Furious movie. The Rave Desert scene in particular.

When Sean asks Mark what his plans for the summer are and the lyrics time up perfectly “when the sun goes down, down” and Marks look on his face. Perfect.

I thought Timberlake's acting was really very good in this scene....and in the whole film actually, except near the end when they're screwing Edwardo out of the company ie ' seriously what's the chicken'

This scene got me into EDM.

It’s kind of ironic that they’re talking about the “social network” from the online perspective … when they are in the literal last pillar of the real social scene that remained at the time where you can meet women and .. talk to them ; a night club

What a tune. Killer soundtrack for a superb film.

The sound mixing was incredible for this scene. And Sean could see ice to an Eskimo the way he sells Mark on being the next Californian billionaire.

This is the best scene of the entire film; there is no doubt about it.

This scene and story is incredible sure Sean Parker changed the music industry in a way. Zuckerberg changes many other industries and you see that beginning here

First time I saw the movie in theatres, back in 2010, the energy felt during this scene, seeing it on a big screen, was unbelievable… the sound design (looking and sounding exactly as it would in a nightclub), the song The Sound Of Violence by Dennis De Laat in the background, the brilliant dialogue and the manic performances by JT and Jessie Eisenberg… WOW!!

Tells him a parable that if he doesn't go full send into Facebook he'll kill himself, and pretends it's not a parable. Then he makes up some story about having similar motivations to create napster that Zuckerberg would relate to. And when the girls come back and could also listen in on his stories he immediately changes the subject. The shadows on JTs face making him look so evil, he's just manipulating Mark Zuckerberg so handedly.

This reminds me of one scene in the first episode of Mindhunter. David Fincher knows how to handle club scenes, specially when there’s dialogue spoken through extremely loud music. Only in case of Mindhunter, there were subtitles to indicate what the characters were saying.

They say the loud music in this scene is supposed to make us focus more on what they're saying. But for me, it's a little distracting. I think scenes with great dialogue but are quieter are more compelling.
