Wait, WHAT? 1st off, that kinda negates Tony's entire sacrifice...but even worse, how could ANYONE, POSSIBLY pretend or say Tony "didn't make mistakes"? His ENTIRE storyline, was exactly ABOUT his mistakes, & how he "got better", & better, until he could face Thanos @ a level to content. He made the program ultron, which was ALSO a another mistake. Even civil war was about mistakes. Where on EARTH would u (or strange or whatever) get the notion Stark "never makes mistakes"? I'm sure it "sounds nice", but when u truly think about it, it makes almost 0 sense, & kinda betrays who Stark is/was, & kinda negates his sacrifice, aka 1 of the best stories ever told. I guess this was some writer's doing, but it does FAR more harm, than good

I didn't spend 8 frickin' years in Doom School to be called "Mister".

There is no way Stark would dominate Doom's consciousness. He is a rival to Reed Richards in intelligence. Tony is a peer but third or so in intelligence to Richards and Doom, who is such a powerful sorcerer that he was a candidate to become Sorcerer Supreme. There is no way except plot armor where Tony could win this, this premise is absurd.

I never understood this need to be the supreme ruler of the universe thing and go about it this way.

Someone with all this brain capacity intentionally making everyone an enemy so they have to fight him. Seems like it would be much easier to manipulate everyone into working for you using Stark's legacy by using what Tony used to be or even using this new combined Doom-Stark entity. Either way you solidify your position with the added help of everyone else. Frame your goals to them in a way they agree with.

The ones who don't listen, make them someone else's problem to keep them out of your way. Either by framing them or using someone else that appears as the big bad to keep them busy. Not letting this chosen villain know you even exist but just dropping the bread crumbs to get them where you need them. Setting this up in a way where nothing leads back to you.

But going about it this way, what are you doing?, Proving your strength and power? Surely not your intellect. And once that's done, you remove every obstacle then what do you do? Sit in your chair of power watching old reruns of tv shows? Was that your ultimate goal?

Yea it was good enough for Thanos because he didn't want lasting ultimate power, but to use it for what he thought was right and saving the universe. He could revel in the fact that he did what he had to for the good of everyone, living out the rest of his days on his lonely planet but satisfied.

So you bring Thanos back to life and choose him to be your lackey and he opposes what you want out of him. So you get mad and just put him in Doom Stark jail? To what end? You can never trust him. If you're trying to teach him what will happen if he doesn't listen all you are doing is creating a better liar, not someone loyal. He will say or do what he has to to get out and eventually find some way to fight you.

So I gotta say, Doom Stark sounds like an idiot.

They had better make Doom have some connection to tony stark. Or having downey jr back as another character within the same universe is dumb

I can already imagine who will be in the mcu's version of the evil version team of avengers: dr doom as an evil version of iron man, us agent as an evil version of captain america, yelena belova as an evil version of black widow, kang the conqueror as an equal match against thor, and thanos as an equal match against hulk. The only 5 avengers that could defeat them are dr strange, sam wilson aka captain america, kate bishop aka hawkeye, carol danvers aka captain marvel, and dr bruce banner aka hulk.
