A good example of how playability of a stick comes mostly from string setup not the mold. Always experiment with at least 3 to 5 different setup styles and make sure before writing a racquet off. Took me about 4 drastically different setups before seeing the light and calling this almost a perfect racquet.
ОтветитьBut mark, Is it better then the pure drive 98? which one is more comfortable?
ОтветитьHe’s putting off MAJOR Kia vibes
ОтветитьI’ve ordered this racket but wished I saw this review first. I find the reviews here are generally accurate
ОтветитьGreat review mark, please do more of such racket reviews if possible, would like to see the review of Head Gravity Pro and maybe Head Speed Pro
ОтветитьIn short, it’s good enough for Alcaraz but not enough for you. 😢 good
ОтветитьYou lost ALL credibility after testing and bashing a racket with shyt strings
ОтветитьHey , test rackets with your favorite strings...not shit strings from sale bin cause nobody buys it
ОтветитьAlcaraz literally won Wimbledon with this racquet in virtual stock form by the way. Sounds like a you problem.
Ответитьthis is quite possibly the dumbest review of any product i've ever had the displeasure of watching
ОтветитьPlayed 2 games with it and didn’t miss a shot. 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьHow do you have a single subscriber ahaahhhhhhhhahaahaaa
ОтветитьI was demo'ing Pure Strikes of all variety (3rd Gen) then Demo'd the Aero 98 and thought it was the easiest racquet to play with out of all the one's I tried. I loved the spin, comfort, serve and slice. I think this racquet worked well for my Flat Serve and slices. I think this could just plain come down to each individual's body mechanics. I love this 98 Demo so much I already bought one. lol
ОтветитьI like the 98 better than 100 right now 😂
ОтветитьNever try a racket when you are drunk! :)
Backhand and even forehand slices are amazing.
Serve must be dialed in after a more control oriented racket, but then you can serve flat bombs.
When the world No.1 uses this racquet in stock form and wins Wimbledon defeating the goat and Mark sansit says his racquet is shit XD.
ОтветитьRacquet reviews are a dime a dozen. Every racquet will feel differently to anyone so beat to go out and try it yourself.
ОтветитьJust goes to show you how personal racquets can be. The PA98 strung @50lbs with Tour Sniper, a leather grip/OG and 2.5g split between 2&10 plays beautifully for me. Every single negative for you was a strength for me. Slices slither and deep, great volley stick for an all court player and all serves are so good. Again, we all feel things differently and its all very personal sometimes.
ОтветитьIt’s like a toy when I hit , I wonder what if Alcaraz uses another brand 😂 how will he shock the world
ОтветитьMy tennis partner slices like a dream with it and I had zero issues when testing
ОтветитьWould be better to just describe how the racket feels. Maybe it's your fundamentals or style of play. This racket is made for high level players. You made it sound like a "fact" that this racket is terrible and not an opinion.
ОтветитьI find it unbelievable that you blame a racket because you can't hit a flat serve with it. If you can hit any other type of serve with it you should be able to hit a flat serve as well.
ОтветитьHello from Brazil!! Great review!! I am concern because I have an aggressive backhand slice... but on the other hand it would be good because I have a spin forehand.. so with that on mind, what racket do you recomend for me? thanks!!
ОтветитьRespectable opinion, I had a hard time initially to get the feel of this racket being a Head Extreme (Solinco Hyper G player) but once I did I fell deeply in love with it on all aspects.
I just love how it can generate insane amounts of topspin, how it cuts the ball on slice shots and slice serves ( i switched to only slicing wide on the deuce court since then) but also hpw much plush and control it provides on the flatter strokes. I strongly suggest you giving it another try with RPM on it It will be a life changing experience!
Blows my mind how subjective these are. I’m coming off a week long demo and I thought it slices incredibly well. Crazy how different you can experience the same thing. Thanks for the video!
ОтветитьI don’t get this review. My experience with this racket was completely different. If you can’t slice your backhand, hit slice or flat serves then the problem is you, not the racket.
Ответитьbabolat racquets crap i think i even told few pro players to change they didnt like idea but did change hah
ОтветитьSounds just like my Babolat Pure Drive+ (2nd gen), it wasn't until I added 2 ounces of lead tape at the 3, 9 and top of the handle area did it start to play better and the only way to get rid of most of the vibration and shock was to add natural gut in the mains!
ОтветитьTo be frank, I’m not sure now why I ever found your content interesting.
ОтветитьMust have been real bad if there is no footage of you playing with the racquet. Balls must have been flying everywhere. Girlfriend's logic LOL :D
ОтветитьDon’t even make it past the intro anymore. Novelty has worn off.
ОтветитьFlat serving is as responsive as your girlfriends logic hahahahahaha
ОтветитьI thought this was a very overrated racquet. The serve returns are atrocious. And I felt the stringbed was very inconsistent. The VS was so much better. It also doesn't have the speed balls that the VS has. The VS was a pretty damn good racquet, the things people said about stiffness was absurd. It had an awesome feel.
ОтветитьI like it. I’m a baseline attacker and this is one of the best rackets to do so. It does feel unstable in defense but I put some lead at 3-9 and it works fine.
ОтветитьI switched to Head Speed MP awhile back
ОтветитьLuckily it's only $279 (whuuuuutt???!) ... And in Europe it's even worse: at TW-E this one goes for €299 , that's US$ 317 !!!
I think I'll pass!
😂😂😂😂
I got 3 words !!!
FAA, Rune, Alceraz !!!!
3 out of top ten players use this frame and they are all under 22 !!!
This is the next 2000s Pure Drive, Aero Pro Drive, and Six One 95 all in one for Babolat and they really don’t give a F$&@ how horrible it plays for Mark 😂😂😂
Saying that, of course I don’t think because famous pros use it that it is a great frame for everyone, I really tried to like it as well, but I was not horrible, just not optimal for my style.
Marks biggest negative is anything involving slice was sailing long, not short, not popping high or disconnected, just long, that is one variable that can be easily fixed when you get used to launch angle and adjust.
I wish I only had one issue with any of my strokes, that easy to fix, but like most, I hit long, net, wide, or too slow, so that’s not too bad.
Also remember, adjusting tension will decrease launch angle and give more control on slice as well.
I think Mark is playing reverse psychology here, calling racquet so horrible, everyone wants to try it now so they can experience it!! 😂
its just carlos alcarez uses it
ОтветитьClick bait title and forced aggression to gain viewership. You’re better than this
ОтветитьMark, if your brakes still work fine and haven't got into any "accident", please review some Tecnifibre rackets. Also, be open minded about Pro Kennex.
ОтветитьI did demo it, and didnt enjoy it. Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Prince Textreme Tour 100 310 2019 version. I prefer this racquet over new Vcore 95, Pure Aero 98 and even the Arma Pro 98.
ОтветитьShould have change the name from VS to BS then.
ОтветитьThanks again for your honest review! Like you, I am a 2020 PAVS user, but I do tailweight it to 342g strung with a hint of lead (0.5g) at 12. I have used the new PA98 for 1.5 months now and also tailweighted it to the same static weight and same string setup, but minus the lead at 12 as I found it has ample weight in the hoop, stock. What I like about the new version is the plush and solid feel at impact and pop on serve and groundies. However, like you, I struggled with the depth control, especially on groundies and I noticed it lacked mass at the balance point due to its polarized weight distribution. To this day, I’m still tinkering with the weight setup in order to equal or better my customized PAVS. I had an important tournament this past weekend and stayed with my old PAVS, because it was SO much more reliable than the new version. A bit disappointed that Babolat had to mess with the weight distribution in the new version, as the old one’s was near perfect.
ОтветитьHi Mark, when Yonex Vcore 95 Scarlett? :P
BTW. Isn't it a very first review without any videos from playing? That's strange...
yea I did not like this racket, both the lite and the 98, they both felt very similar and although I did not try the last version, This racket was way to lively for me, coming from the head extreme s and 55 pounds lynx tour. One question though, will you review the new vapor pro 2 and vapor 11?
Ответить"No connection", "Instability" and "Inconsistent" also can be described Mark's dating history
ОтветитьMark, I think you should try this racquet with your old trusty vanilla strings Hyper G at your tension. Might be the Babolat RPM Rough hybrid string issue.
ОтветитьI drive a Dodge Charger
ОтветитьEnjoyed the disco porn music during pros and cons of the racket 😂
ОтветитьMark, you probably got a very low swingweight racquet due to horrible QC.
