Heavy rain from ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred leaves areas flooded and thousands without power | 7.30

Brisbane has recorded its wettest day in more than half a century, and there are still risks of major flooding in Queensland, with rivers rising in Ipswich and with some residents told to be ready to leave their homes.

Meanwhile in New South Wales, the risk of flooding also remains across the northern rivers region.
