What is the food culture like in the Ukraine?

With all that’s been happening in the country of Ukraine in recent months, the whole world has taken an interest in them. I had the privilege of speaking with my friend and a fellow foodie and nutritional health enthusiast named Lesya Holzapfel in Episode 247 of the REAL TALK podcast. With all the negative news that’s been happening, this was a sorely needed respite from the constant barrage we’ve been seeing in the media.

Immigrating from the Ukraine to America at a very young age, Lesya still maintained a lot of the cultural norms and customs of her homeland with a large Ukrainian people presence in Ohio. Lesya and I had a really fun and interesting conversation about her beloved native country, including taking a look at what the food scene is like there. Apparently they really like their garlic!
