I’m thinking of moving here from London.

Can anyone help me pick a good neighbourhood?

I’m a golfer and I have a dog so something relatively upbeat and not too urban and good transportation links. Does that exist?

Hell yeah, I love it in Texas. I live in Sachse next to garland and plano area... Dallas county... Its is Hot. I upgrade my A/C unit from a 3 ton to 5ton for my 2300 sq ft home to combat that Texas Heat!

USA going down the gurgler. That will include Texas and Dallas. Seems ok for now but really, people should avoid going to USA in rhese times.

This video came out a year ago? Yeah…northern rural CA gas prices were knocking on the door of 6 per gallon or over at some stations. It’s gone down since then but it’s still rough.

I think you missed the higher than average crime rates, insane health insurance premiums, home insurance premiums, and auto insurance premiums in the list of cons.

It kills me how these transplants that move from other cities to another city reference themselves as "We" lol When in reality you're not a native of that city and you don't even respect the culture. You're just extracting the perks. My advice is avoid Dallas. It's no longer a hidden gem

Texans don’t go to Dallas or Austin or Houston. Those cities do not represent Texas. Don’t even get me started on San Antonio.

Also, the bbq in texas is A-1, but ill tell you what i miss the most about texas since moving.. the Tex-Mex food. Tex-Mex is different than Mexican food. Mexican folks that grew up in texas and maybe who've been here for a few generations have put their own spin on mexican dishes and theyre fantastic. You cant get mexican food anywhere else like you get in texas. I also like the cajun foods in texas, especially since Katrina happened and a lot of folks from louisiana moved to texas. That stuff is the bomb too. Also a lot of asian folks are moving to texas. You're right man, so many food choices! I miss that about Texas, for sure! Nice video.

Im from texas and have a habit of saying hello or "how ya doin" to people i pass by while walking, shopping, or whatever. I moved to kansas and when i would do that people would look at me weird. Some were even rude about it. Funny how different areas can be so different.

There ISN'T cultural enjoyment here. The african-american majority of Dallas might TOLERATE other people for a few minutes on the street but basically they do not want to be around or attend anything except Black events that are NOT AFRICAN. AFRICANS are regarded as a "nuisance people" that have come for jobs rather than RESPECTED SOURCE OF ROOTS here in Dallas. I have never seen as callous and unflexible african american population in any american city as DALLAS.

As an Australian living in ontario canada, im considering moving my family to texas these videos have been helpful in deciding whether or not its a good idea. Even the "cons" you mention feel like improvements fromy our current way of life have you assisted anyone making a similar move? How are foreigners welcomed? Texas seems like such an incredible place to raise our child and grow our careers and im having a hard time finding any reasons not to move, it almost feels to good to be true!

Coming from Cali our gas is $4.99; add or take a few cents depending which part. I’m specifically talking about Northern Central Valley Cali. Everything is over priced out here.

Texas is cheaper than other states but you have no security. If you are pregnant do not come here; if anything goes wrong you have little chance as OBGYNs are leaving so you have inferior doctors as they don’t want to deal with the outrageous abortion laws. The attorney general is obviously corrupt. I live here and I KNOW we have no protection. 😊
