Not even 2mins in and I'm smiling. Thank you.
ОтветитьThe Dream Team of Dreamworld Destroyers. Excellent video guys, this was awesome.
Edit
Do you guy's not like fruit? 😂😂😂😂
I'm a firm believer that patience and time beat out money any day. I think indie mmos are - possible - but so many groups jump the gun. they sell first, learn later, and people get burned. Had they taken the time to learn, and practice, they would have talent to make something. But people always go "oh, we're making this RIGHT NOW". Why? Most of the time they're in their early 20s; they have the ability to spend 5 - 10 years learning, then the same time frame in development, rather than spending hundreds of thousands of other people's money, hoping everything works.
Now obviously, even if everyone volunteers, there's still going to be some cost attached, but it's significantly less if you just pay with time. And it's easier to pre-sell when you already have something.
Great podcast, keep it going guys! Love hearing you all talk about stuff it's nice!
ОтветитьNow i can have a nice day at work
ОтветитьWould love to see Kevin Jordan come on to chat! Hes on twitch and is a WEALTH of knowledge in terms of MMO design. Given he was one of the og 3 devs of WoW from back in the day
ОтветитьI love Jay Exci. You should invite her on and turn the episode into a 2 hour Doctor Who tangent :D
ОтветитьSome good stuff again 👀
ОтветитьWorst idea for an MMO, Sword Art Online, it would never ever be what people want
ОтветитьI have to disagree on one thing: GoT was good for four seasons, maybe a little more, but never 7.
ОтветитьI unironically wanna buy a drawing in the offline NFT
ОтветитьAs always, very enjoyable podcast. Never watched KiraTV but I definitely will after his appearance here and since you guys speak so highly of him.
Just out of interest, does anyone else find the background chatter and laughing extremely jarring?
I have commented this every podcast and I really haven't seen anyone else comment about it, so I assume it's just me, but I'll just ask you all directly once to see if maybe there are others who think the same but don't think it's worth complaining about.
I'll give it a rest though because it probably is just me and I'm probably being annoying as fuck, but it really is ruining the podcast for me. It's so grating and frustrating, I've never listened to a podcast with background noise and if this wasn't Josh and Callum, two content creators I really respect and enjoy, I'd have stopped listening watching one episode in.
Sorry for being a miserable bastard, I love the actual podcast content and I love your insights and opinions, but that background noise is driving me nuts.
Golden Girls MMO!
ОтветитьAs long as the toxic LoL community doesn't tag along to their new mmo, it's gonna be fine. Probably
ОтветитьI apologize if I've missed the answer to my question, I'm usually very busy. Is there any word on this podcast landing on Spotify?
ОтветитьSuch a good video, would like to see Kira return more often once he has time! You guys are like the mmo holy trinity but I'm not sure who is tank, healer and DPS!
ОтветитьDisagree about the open source part. Open sourcing your game doesn't mean you have to accept everybody's changes. You are still the maintainer of the project and you get to choose. They are free to fork it and make their own changes and become a different project. If your engine is so hostile to open source that you can't even open source your game without the engine, then maybe use a different engine. Closed source software is a giant trap. A trap so wide people don't realize they fell in it.
Ответитьat first i though that hayes' headphones were a leash
ОтветитьNot really the same but a tangent of small developers, I was playing kenshi modded and I made a suggestion on the forum for the mod and the next time I jumped on to play what I had suggested had been implemented…
ОтветитьGhandi! Ghandi! Ghandi!
ОтветитьOnly just got around to watching Tangent Tavern, but it's good fun! I binged the first four episodes though and now I have to wait :(
ОтветитьIs there an RSS feed yet?
ОтветитьStilllll not on Spotify!!!! Neeeeed this on spotifyyyyyy haha! Other than that this show is so so good to just put on and listen to! Thank you thank you thank you!
ОтветитьActivision blizzard is missing the maxim of customer satisfaction and game quality that they used to appear to have. Since most of the core devs and designers that made blizzard of old great left, most of stuff is soulless and maintenance mode, maxim becoming squeezing as much profitability from the customers that are left
Ответитьidea for a few videos/video series - interview podcast style with people that worked on some of the bigger games(devs, artists, designers etc), games that you were passionate about - there was one recently with the devs of Warhammer: Age of reckoning on the anniversary (on the Return of reckoning channel) and it was fantastic, i'd love to see one or more of you three do something like that
Ответитьjosh should add planescape torment to his eplay list, imo of the old ad&d 2nd edition rpgs its one of the best.
ОтветитьThat dark fall story hit me in the feels.
ОтветитьWhens it coming to Spotify
ОтветитьWonderful video and great insights. Glad I could catch this on YT since I missed the live chat.
ОтветитьCan you remove the chatting sound effect in the background? it ruined it for me sorry
ОтветитьProps for mentioning Phantasy star 2 NGS kira. While it is absolutely true that the ui is awful in the game, it must be understood that this is due to the fact that the ui is optimised for use on a controller. Using a controller one can fly through the menus much faster than mouse and keyboard. Using a mouse to navigate is hell. The real problem with PSO2 right now is the lack of content. Kind of like New World but MUCH MUCH worse.
ОтветитьIf anyone wants to know what happened to game of thrones, The dragon demands has done tons of deep dives into what happened and how incompetent the showrunners were and the only reason it was not worse were the other people involved
ОтветитьI NEED #5 PLEASE!!
ОтветитьMale succubi exist. They are called incubus
ОтветитьDid you guys quit already?
Ответитьwasn't there a Stargate MMO attempt already?
ОтветитьMore!!
ОтветитьThe biggest change in MMOS I've noticed in the past 20 years:
New mmos want you to never feel bad. There's no loss, no risk. This makes victories and achievements feel less rewarding, but that's the price new games are willing to pay. I've played 1000 hours of ESO and 1000 hours of FF XIV and I barely felt any emotions playing these games. I have more stories, memories and emotions from playing Tibia few years ago for 3 months, than I have from playing ESO and FF XIV for years.
So does the Kira guy always look bored to the point of rude? Or something else wrong with em?
ОтветитьPlay Kenshi
Ответитьoh kiratv's memory is like mine .... i never meet a person with that type of (maybe corrupt) memory ... and yea ... if i am not currlenty watching something, i am spoiler-proof :-D
Ответитьrimworld is just awsome. to play and to watch.
ОтветитьIt's lovely to see KiraTV being the first guest star of the podcast. I'm happy to know that Callum has played Shadow of the Colossus and consider it with high praises. I also look forward to Josh having the game featured on his secondary channel, Josh Strife Plays, talking about it and whatnot.
Game of Thrones Season 8 is an absolute abomination for its writing. Tywin would be rolling violently and ree-ing loudly in his grave from how everyone was so stupid in that season. Aside from what became of Jon, Tyrion, Jaime and Daenerys, I feel so bad for what they did to Varys. Hell, I even feel bad for the actor Conleth Hill who portrayed Varys. You didn't deserve to be given and work with such a superbly stupid material, mate.
Liking and commenting before I watch because I love the dynamic you guys have. As Alan Patridge said: Great Banter
ОтветитьAll three of you are extremely easy to listen to. It's almost like you're on the radio. The audio could stand alone without video. Oh well I guess it already does. Best wishes.
Ответитьthe 3 horsemen of something. love it!
ОтветитьI wonder how many people discovered the beautiful south from their parents’ CD collection 🤔 so many memories
Ответить
