So... Which one is the 🍊 and which is the 🍎?
Let us know your thoughts on the two cameras and which one you prefer! 🤙
Used them both. 6k Pro has the NDs. Both great cameras. Depends on the job
ОтветитьWithout a doubt within first 10 seconds i knew green was RED. bmpcc is good but nothing comes near red arri panasonic sony in terms of color and am talking about all high budget cameras. You can never in your entire life get anything close to all these big cams in just cheap cams. Period. Only fuji has power to come near them. Thats 12 years of filmmaking experience speaking.
ОтветитьThe color fade on the bmpcc is consistent with gamut compression that needs to be disabled, feel that this test might have been influenced by that.
ОтветитьI didn't guess but I liked Orange much more.
ОтветитьI knew it ! I actually spotted the “orange” after 2 clips 😅
ОтветитьWhat conversion did you use for the rec709?
ОтветитьThis was so easy lol.... After literally one slide I knew. Mainly because the BM is a digital camera with sharp digital attributes, a frosty picture and the RED is an organic cinema grade camera. These two shouldnt even ever be compred they are such different leagues.
ОтветитьJust checking this old video. Fantastic. Loved the vibe! I actually use the 6K Pro, but all I want is that Komodo, lol!
Ответитьkomodo all the way
Ответитьhow many buttons does your camera have? hahaha love it
ОтветитьBest comparison I’ve found definitely got my follow
ОтветитьIt was apparent by the fov which camera was which.
ОтветитьU look a lot like Hugh Jackman!
ОтветитьI have the 6k Pro and the rolling shutter can be really annoying to deal with. It's not $4000 annoying, but I would love for BlackMagic to do a global shutter version of the 6K Pro.
ОтветитьIf the dp sucks, shoot on RED (cause if you do, it means the footage will look better, right?) But if the dp has talent, give them ANY camera.
ОтветитьWow. That a good 1. I thought apple is RED. So 1 more video that is convincing me to look towards the bmpcc.
ОтветитьMan I enjoyed this video, stay cool Joey. Keep taking away my sleep and driving me to that Komodo🙌💯📸
ОтветитьHey this is so good. could I have both shots? The black magic and the komodo so I can load them up and compare them on my set up. Would love to do some experimenting
ОтветитьI guessed right because of the IR pollution of 6k and a bit of crispiness of RED
ОтветитьCan you make a video on how these sequences were graded?
ОтветитьThe red is the apple of cameras...the fanboys will always pick thier brand no matter what cam...the BM price point makes it pretty much a no brainer
ОтветитьI choose the orange. From the first shots you can see clearly that Komodo has a way more filmic image.
Ответитьcool outro where can I get that template ? 😬
ОтветитьOrange is RED
ОтветитьI heard that there is a monitor that can control KOMODO wirelessly. It seems to be specially made for KOMODO. Does anyone know?
Its brand seems to be called PORTKEYS, and its model seems to be BM5 WR. If you have used it, please introduce it. How does it feel to use it with KOMODO?
I want to buy one and try it recently, thank you!

Great review ! Keep it up.
ОтветитьIt wasn't hard to guess. Komodo looks so good and filmic. Even Blackmagic can't compete, let alone Sony A series.
Ответитьit's the second minute ans I say the orange is the Komodo... I think the color is much better and this is the major key from RED...
ОтветитьDoes anyone know what smoke machine they used @3.14 minutes? Thanks
ОтветитьThis was fun. I loved the friendly debate. I definitely want the BMC. Considering the price point, less than half, it's a no brainer.
Ответитьhow do you not mention dual band ISO and Native ISO tuning, that's probably one of the make or break differences between the two
ОтветитьiPhone14 will probably have all these features. Welcome to who gives a shit anymore just make good content.
ОтветитьThe guy in white is unbearable...
ОтветитьTbh i dont see a 3000$ difference
ОтветитьPlease make a video comparing Komodo and BMPCC 6K PRO
Ответитьhelpful
ОтветитьI hate apples. Going to go with the Red camera.
ОтветитьThese videos are great and you guys are fun to watch
ОтветитьI guess I'm sold on buying the BMPCC, I've been debating my mind for awhile on either the Komodo or the black magic, and the Komodo goes way over my budget, my budget is like $9,000 but, by the time I buy the Komodo and cage/puller/Len's I'll be way over the budget, And I'm actually thinking of getting two BMPCC, but I'll start with one and buy some Len's and equipment, but I'm sold with this video, I'm getting the BMPCC
ОтветитьThis is a fucking dumb video
ОтветитьGreat video Joey! I wanted to ask though, why did YOU pick the Komodo over something like the BMPCC6K? I'd love to hear your thoughts specifically on the matter when the image quality differences seem so minimal for the large cost difference
ОтветитьI love the apple, orange, hotdog. First time I've seen that. Well played.
Ответить13 stops!
ОтветитьWhy is the workflow terrible for the old BMCC? I would argue that it is superior in many ways to both of these camera. It records directly to SSDs with no extra equipment needed. It records 12bit CinemaDNG RAW or Prores with the same dynamic range as the BMPCC 6k. That being said, I want the Komodo - not need though, just want.
ОтветитьIt’s easy to know because the black magic is croped
