I remember the one with Jackie Gleason and Estelle Parsons--I think this maybe better for one reason: there is more chaos in the action between players.

Thanks for posting. It's good timing now with the new documentary on Michael J. Fox. In retrospect, it seemed fitting to see him doing a TV movie in 1994, since this was just before his return to TV on Spin City, after a few box office flops. Also, we know he was early into his battle with Parkinson's.

Woody Allen god this guy really is talent less how it is possible that he even made it to Hollywood and directing a movie. Horrible movie what a flop.

Wonderful. They say Woody had to keep saying cut in his scenes with Dom DeLuise because he kept breaking up. I’m old. The 70s were a much better time. Oy

Woody rewrote a lot of this. It’s so much funnier. And it needed a Jewish couple. Gleason was so wrong for it. Maybe I don’t give a shit about Woody’s private life.

Happy to check this off my WA list but it’s not one of the greats. Script works hard, cast works really hard but overall film flounders a bit. Still, at least he remains good natured throughout, unlike some of the nasty, later ones.

Thanks for the upload! Im a huge fan of Woody's work, but this one is just tedious. Most of the "funny" lines barely merit a smile, and annoying overuse of klezmer. Skip it. 👎

Thanks for this. I only have 3 more films to go and I’ve seen every Woody Allen movie that he wrote and directed and sometimes acted in. That includes Coup De Chance which isn’t streaming anywhere yet here in the U.S.

Messy 'word salad' or 'stream of consciousness' sold as great art, made palatable with jokes. It was funny in 90s when there was nothing better on TV.

Original movie with Jackie Gleason was the best... but this has a great cast too.

I am surprised to see Michael J. Fox exhibiting signs of the onset of Parkinson's Disease even in this movie. He is very fidgety, squirmy, and very hyperactive in his movements. It doesn't seem normal to me.

Very amusing, terrific performances. Lots of rhythm. You can't beat a well-made play. Even funnier than the original.

Michael J. Fox looks like a twelve year old boy.

Definitely not one of his best. All too forced. Hate the moving camera technique.
