I major in computer engineering

I read somewhere that Computer Science students are software experts and Electrical Engineering students are hardware experts. But Computer Engineering students are jack of all trades and experts of none because CENG is 50% CS and 50% EE. How true is this? I was thinking of switching to CENG but these words made me a bit hesitant

I'm a 2nd year computer engineer student in the Philippines and would like to switch majors to IT, as I'm shit at maths. I only passed my Calculus 1 and 2 classes because of online classes (of course you know what you did with activities) now that we're taking Calculus 3 I'm now getting fucked by that subject as I didn't learn Calculus 1 and 2. I only chose Computer Engineering as I wanted an IT major but my university didn't offer that major, and the rest is history. If there's a way to leave the hard maths then sign me up.

I'm a phD student doing Mathematics and Physics. I hate software and while I'm, pretty good at programming I don't enjoy it like I enjoy mathematics and physics. However, I LOVE hardware and everything that goes into it. Definitely looking to take some classes or get some certifications so I can be a hardware engineer or something. Otherwise, my research with the NSA will give me a one-way ticket into a government job doing probability and stats.

Can we handle the maths in computer engineering. Coz I am not that interest in maths

I wish I majored in Computer engineering instead of Biochemistry and minoring in computer science. Part of me is thinking about getting a second Bachelor's degree but I don't know if that's a good idea in terms of finances and other things.

If you only like math and coding, but hate anything related to EE, you'll also hate CE. Just pick AI as a major, it has a much better and recently created curriculum. You'll have to learn a lot of outdated technical and EE related stuff in CE, which you'll never ever use if you want to work in software related jobs.

My friend received his bachelor’s in CE even though hes terrible in math, now that hes got a job at boeing all he uses for work are software programs that does all the work for him 😂

If you do a B.S. in Computer Science, can you do a masters in Computer Engineering so as to lean more towards the hardware side of things? Not really trying to do another bachelors in Electrical Engineering, but don’t know if a Masters will prepare you well for the hardware aspect of things.

First year second semester here, its hell and i am grinding till 4 am and working on my assignments.

I FRICKIN SUCK AT MATH, on top of that I hate math too and it’s like my kryptonite that’s been haunting me since childhood. I barely passed calculus 1 and calculus 2 is just another struggle for me. I feel like I’m gonna make it no where.

Industrial maths with computer science (Bsc Hons) or just Computer science (Bsc)?! I’m not so interested in hardware 🙂 but I like maths.
