Larchmont and Mamaroneck: Through the LMC Media Lens

Wow, how my heart longs for and misses my time when I started my journey in the USA, there in Larchmont with a wonderful family who took me in. Such great memories. A beautiful place that will forever be etched in my heart.

TO AVOID ANYONE COMING IN CONTACT WITH COVID 19 OR ANY ASYMTOMATIC INDIVIDUAL TRANSMITTING THIS VIRUS TO OTHERS. The beautifully rendered visual portrait of this video makes me proud of my hometown where I have racked up over 40 years.
On the other hand, though it uses the word “diversity” in the sound track, and despite an incidental appearance as customers in one wide shot of our restaurant row, Black and Latino residents—not to mention Asians, Middle Easterners and others are entirely left out in favor of the blonder, more blue eyed type of resident. As an African-American who has sat on the arts Council, presently preside over the friends of the library board, ran a program for years in the Mamaroneck Cap Center, volunteered during construction of the playground in the harbor, and Produced an award-winning LMC TV limited series, among other things, I am deeply insulted by this sin not of omission but of comission, since you would have to go to great lengths to avoid photographing black and Hispanic people in the section of the video that is filmed in the flats. I love LMC TV, but shame on you for this one.
