This ISNTD Connect webinar takes a closer look at one of the most pressing issues in global health: achieving equitable access to data in global health research. Shanti Rochester, Data Governance Officer at the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory (IDDO) speaks about the data governance structures needed to enable data reuse. Data reuse helps ensure that the often scarce data available for many infectious and tropical diseases is used to its fullest, but it needs governance structures that support equity and collaboration. Shanti introduces the model developed and used by the Infectious Diseases Data Observatory that balances various considerations for successful data governance.
