Most of Ireland isn't in the UK. I think that will probably annoy some. Easier to stick to the terms British and Britain, safer that way. Great lecture though, thanks for sharing.

There was no documentation or specific evidence given about Europeans deliberately introducing smallpox to Native Americans even in the "Any Further Questions" podcast where this issue was discussed in response to my request for evidence of this happening. Please tell us where we can find this evidence if it exists and tell us where (locations), when (dates) and who (names) did this and if it was effective, since there is no evidence available online or in any book that I know of that this happened. The failure to give this information is evidence that it does not exist in any historical source or records. Apparently this information is incorrect, and lacking in any reliable, verifiable or recognized form that can be examined from primary sources. This is only a rumor repeated by pseudo historians with no facts to back it up. Please respond with actual evidence! I hope you are a better scientist than a historian

why do all science presenters try to be funny? they can just talk - nobody is reacting to any of the constant 'jokes' but they never stop doing it.... is tedious.
