Samsung Q950T Soundbar Review - Is It Actually Good?

Can I mix 9.1.4 Channel Dolby Atmo in Davinci Resolve Studio 7.2.? SAMSUNG HW-Q950T 9.1.4ch Soundbar w/Dolby Atmos/DTS:X and Alexa Built-in and be able to rout and see the individual channels in the Preferences / Audio / Speaker set up?

Beautiful, whole room on speakers. Dissatisfied buy another 2 dissatisfied buy 4. Samsung stop taking our money, a great shame

Jonah! I want to connect this soundbar with my pc. Will I be able to utilize the full potential ? My monitor is Samsung odyssey g9 which has HDMI output and my pc has rtx 3090 GPU,32 gb,asus motherboard!

Worst soundbar I have ever purchased been faulty from day one been repaired and still the sound is distorted and the sub which they say is new sounds like someone is bowing wind into a mic at a100 % what a waste of so much money and not to mention the many hours spent on calls to Samsung customer service which must be the worst in the world will no be buying another Samsung product, and maybe there should be some reviews showing all the problems with these soundbars can’t find one , wander why.

Thank you for your review, based on what you said and my own observations I bought the Q900A, which is the same setup without the back speakers. I share your opinion about them and decided to save some cash and avoid them. I found it on sale at 650€ which is great price for my area and so far I am quite impressed with the product.

That soundbar is just exaggerated too big I wouldn't buy that. That's a thing my brother would buy he is into luxury and he only loves technology more than humans like some people do as well all they love is things. Not me a decent soundbar would do the job I got me a Philips sound bar for $79.99 and it sounds perfectly fine I can listen to my tv shows good what a big deal as long as it gives you decent sound you are good to go no need to make it fancy. But that's me I'm simple humble and don't like things.

Had one which I puechased here in Australia and I havent got anything good, to say about it, but Samsung did have the decency to refund the full purchase price--the wi-fi was "very" dodgy

whats the point of a 'wireless' speaker if you have to plug them in with a wire (power cord)?

Considering a Samsung Soundbar HW Q910B and a good quality big Samsung TV. Just worried about sound quality vs old school wired LG 5.1 home theater systems, especially bone cracking bass. 😁

As for HDMI cable angles, you can get adapters that do 90 and 45 degrees

Good review. I was able to get one of these soundbars around Christmas 2021 for $1050 as an open box item at Best Buy. It was in perfect shape, so I figure it simply was a return, so it was a steal IMO at that price. Soundwise, excellent sound from a soundbar. One of my biggest complains are that there will be moments that the subwoofer and/or the rear speakers are offline. I bought STITCH by Monoprice smart power strips to power cycle these speakers with my phone when they go offline, instead of having to unplug the speakers. This may be a common issue among similar soundbar setups, but it certainly annoys me. Second biggest complaint is the diplay, which I can't for the life of me understand why they didn't use a front display like every other soundbar, so I end up using the phone app more than I'd like. I also agree that the cloth is definitely a poor choice of materials as it collects dust, pet hair, and more, but I'm over it lol. Anyways despite some faults, mainly the ones I mentioned, which were also mentioned in the review, I'm very happy with the soundbar which I plan to enjoy for a long time. :-)

So the sound bar acts as your front left and right? What about the up sound, I am 9 feet away will I really hear it?

I finally fixed the sound dropout on this soundbar after 2 years of use. The good news is that there are no more sound interruptions, the bad news is that I should have done it 2 years ago. The solution was so simple that I can't stop laughing at myself. I simply changed the placement of the subwoofer to match the soundbar. Instead of standing under the soundbar, I placed it at the back of the room, behind the surround speakers, so now they see each other in a straight line, no more Bluetooth interruptions, no more disconnection , no more dropouts.

Haven’t found an answer ever after hours on the internet. Wondering if the rear speakers and be setup as front speakers instead?

I picked up this soundbar just the sound bar it's self used for 250 for my condo no subwoofer or rear speakers
