Finally got around to repinning and I should have paid better attention. Forgot to turn the core when pulling it out of one and a pin must have dropped down. Not too worried, as there are still 3 others to do right. Managed to pin up the green key with no problems. :)

I'd like the tweezers more if they were 'reverse action,' i.e., normally closed instead of normally open.

Where do you buy those? Direct to the sparrow website?

Hey guys ! Where can i find a metal tool to remove the cap (the star like tool). Cant find it in France.

I've literally just began getting into lock picking, I haven't started picking as of yet put I have ordered a beginners pick set and four progressive locks all from Sparrows as well a this reload kit as a result of witching you recommending them on your channel. I'm sure this will keep me going for a long long time. I'll continue to watch your clips, new and older, as i find them easy to follow and informative. Thanks Bosnianbill.

Iv'e got one and the reload kit it rocks, the only thing is it looks like the reload kits are all the same, so if you want to repin to yet another bitting after mastering the first AND the reload, buying another reload kit will not get you new keys.

Hi Bill, love all your videos. I'm new to lock picking, but I was always curious as a child. I've picked a few doors and some combination bike locks as a kid but nothing to brag home about. After watching you, I've been inspired to learn more about this fascinating skill. I've purchased this kit as well as many other picks and rakes. I even bought the updated practice locks. To use the security pins from this set, I'm assuming you would use any of the keys and instead of a standard driver pin, it would be whatever security pin I want to practice with, right?

I have the reload kit and the new progressive set one huge question though. When repinning to any of the green, blue, red or black key, how do you know in what position to put the key pins? It has to matter surely to make sure they all are reaching the correct shear line right? Sorry if this is a dumb question I'm fairly new at this. Got done picking the regular progressive locks fairly easily and want to start repinning them asap. If anyone could help me please I would greatly appreciate it!

I just hand filed 4 kwikset keys for each of the schlage keys. I couldn't afford a schlage deadbolt but this works quite well! Thank you for this video and for the video on hand filing your own keys!

Having seen a couple of guttings on Bosnianbill and LPL channels, I think getting some old locks and re-pinning them oneself to be 2, 3, 4, and 5 pin locks may also be attractive if you're on a budget. Then you already know what's in them, too.

I went too Sparrows site and found the pinning kit but they dont carry the practice lock cores on their site. Any idea where to get them?

They're even nicer now. The locks are bigger and easier to grab for those of us without a vise and even more security pins.

After you're done with that 2 pin lock key it would be very easy to file those 2 peaks down to make a bump key. It would probably work for the other (3,4,5 pin) keys as well

Are pins interchangeable between brands of locks or are they proprietary?

Today, I got my reload kit. It contains also these cute chess pins. Pretty cool.

Alright so maybe a dumb question, but when you put new pins in a lock does the key still work?
