Medium lines - base, what you used to create the sketch in the first place
Thick lines - call attention to areas (with shadows)
Extra tips: duplicate borders to make it extra thic (just enough), and add rinkles to the border of clothes

BTW, it's a trap stuff, because as soon as I learned dynamic lineart I started to spend too much time on it. Right now lineart is the main element of my artworks and I can't change it anymore.

This is actually really good! Actually more helpful than in my digital art/animation class. There, I had to use specific brush sizes too big for my liking like 5-7 (I hate being micromanaged >_<), but here I can use any brush size. I honestly prefered smaller brush sizes. No bigger than 3-4. Brush sizes doesn't mean thin or thick imo.

The first step it was easy cuz i mastered it since 3rd grade

Oh goodness this actually made things way easier to understand for me! Since I draw on a 10" tablet (as in the traditional type, not the art type) I've unconsciously improved on my traces; but the line weight is the thing that I alwahs struggled with, so this really helps! Especially the outline trick, I usually just trace the silhouette with a bigger brush, but its so much work lol

5 years later and still one of the better basic tutorial video on line art that also shows examples without getting lost in stupid irrelevant tangents

line weight in drawing is like volume control in video editing

Rather than using black, would using th colour that the line art is surrounding give an impact of more weight too? Like using a darker shade of red around red hair Etc.
