Kashy’s weekly vlog series.
Unfortunately Kashius hasn’t gotten to ride bikes this past week due to a distal radius buckle fracture on his right wrist. He has to wear a splint for two weeks and then get a check up with the doctor to get the ok for riding again.
Kash was downhill mountain bike riding on one of his favourite trails and was thrown off by his cousin riding in front of him, as he came down a fast, steep section, his cousin stopped at the top and Kash panicked thinking he’d crash into him so he swerved and went full speed into the prickle bushes. He must have put his hand out to break his fall.
After the crash, Kash said that it scared him but that it didn’t hurt so we proceeded to go attend his last gymnastics class of the season. Kash’s class was a level 1 but he finished by receiving his level 2 certificate, as well as receiving an invite to the mini stars gymnastics program starting in the fall!
After the class, despite not being in pain at all, his wrist was still a bit swollen so we went to the hospital to have it checked out to be safe. The doctor did an x-ray and turns out his wrist was indeed, fractured.
It’s been hard keeping Kash off his bikes but we’ve been trying to stay busy by going on lots of hiking adventures and having lots of beach days.
There’s also been a heat wave where we are this past week with temperatures reaching as high as 45 degrees Celsius so Kash has been swimming with his splint on to help keep cool.
