ОтветитьFrom where I am only boys are interested in space travel and other planets

ОтветитьThe insect-like Celenites are pulled straight from H.G. Well's book of two men going to the moon (in an anti-grav sphere), which was inspired by Poe's moon-travel story (in a balloon).
Ответитьdid you know there are no women on the moon
ОтветитьDude, so good to see some people young like you Dig the classics and understand these old Sci-fi stuff... keep up the good work.
ОтветитьHave you ever thought about joining the Church of Satan
ОтветитьHumans landed on the Moon in the nicest year!
ОтветитьScience Fiction inspired Scientists.
ОтветитьI am sorry, Science Fiction was a novel genre before a movie genre. You did not mention Science Fiction Literature at all in the beginning
Ответитьthis channel is a gem
Ответить'please joe rogan fans save it. just... save it.'
😂😂
More specifically, Selene was the Mycenaean moon goddess. By the Hellenic period, she'd been replaced by Artemis, goddess of asexuals, tomboys, hunting, and the untamed wilderness.
ОтветитьA comment for the numbers brother
ОтветитьOh my god, make longer videos. This is TV now
ОтветитьI’ve never seen you mention the vorkosigan saga in any of your videos you’re a knowledgeable man when it comes to sci fi so I know I can’t be introducing them to you but great books great books, tied for most best novel Hugo’s with Heinlein the author is, if you don’t count retroactive awards
ОтветитьNo mention of the 1600's story a Mannheim Steamroller Album is based upon of a explorer of the era going to another planet?
Ответить"One of these days bang! zoom! straight to the moon!"
Wait, that's not an astonaught, thats a comedian, and he using space travel as a mataphor for <redacted> 🤔
You can't conquer something without beating it into submission or dominating it in one way or another. Sorry to break it to ya, but thems is the breaks.
ОтветитьThere is no space....
There is only Zuul!👹
I always preferred the Stanley Kubrick version of Trip to the Moon
ОтветитьQuinn - I thought this was super cool.
ОтветитьPerhaps in the 4th dimension
ОтветитьPlease, make em hours long, you'll get no objections
Ответитьwell done! Your voice is soothing and your intonation and reading style makes it very easy to listen to this while editing some photos. You should start a podcast or consider a VA career.
ОтветитьAwesome Vid Quinn.
ОтветитьPlz cover trip to the moon if you want. That's content i would watch the sh*t out of.
Ответитьthese indian text really give me the creeps, it may be is not the 1st time humanity have reached the curent level of technology
ОтветитьThe mention of the Ramayana reminds me of 'Lord of Light' by Roger Zelazny. Well worth reading I think.
ОтветитьNot mentioning Stargate is a crime
Ответить"if you are a joe rogan fan just dont" how brainwashed by mainstream medias are you to believe joe rogan think the moon landing is a hoax? stfu next time.
ОтветитьJoe Rogan is a god Quinn. Do you dare challenge a God!
ОтветитьLol Rogan hasn't been on "that" side of the faked moon landing theory for YEARS.
ОтветитьQuinn, have you done any episodes devoted to Ursula K. Le Guin's novels and short stories. I'd be particularly interested to know what you think of The Word for World Is Forest, The Left Hand of Darkness, The Dispossessed, The Telling, and Five Ways to Forgiveness.
ОтветитьThe Christian bible portrays space travel, as well. Though, its possible that story was lifted from earlier Akkadian and maybe even Sumerian stories.
ОтветитьThis was a very well-researched video. You're an erudite bloke, Quinn.
ОтветитьAs a fan of you and your content, I must point out that Joe Rogan is not a moon landing denier and I was a little off put by the assumption that he or his fans would be
ОтветитьHave you read The Star of Life by Edmond Hamilton? It's absolutely fantastic!
ОтветитьAgain, well done!
ОтветитьWoooaaaah easy with the Joe Rogan attack. Rogan isn't Alex Jones, big difference.
ОтветитьNo mention of voyage to arcturus? Fail
ОтветитьGreat video! I'm curious to know where you got the images of Lucian's book from, because it's a Dutch translation from the 16th or 17th century. I never knew this translation existed and I'd like to read it (I am Dutch), even though the language is a bit old-fashioned. (I know some Latin too, but not enough to read the original)
ОтветитьI'm not sure if anyone has told you your patreon list has some duplicate names in it just a heads up love your stufd
ОтветитьI think you missed the best space travel method: in his book États et Empire de la Lune (1657), Cyrano de Bergerac (the real one) explains he managed to fly to the moon by... attaching bottles of wine around his belt. Wine elevating the mind, more wine elevated the body. Obviously.
Otherwise, a very interesting video. I just discovered your channel, and I have to say I really enjoy it!
Thank you Quinn. You complete me.
