Making EOS isn't as easy as it looks.

I've made lip balms before, in a tin, and never used vasoline. Can you still make these without the vasoline? what does that add to the balm?

the vanilla sank to the bottom because it was alcohol/water based and the rest of the ingredients are oil based :) for anyone reading this, only apply oil based flavors/smells so they can dissolve properly. Thanks for the video!! will definitely try this with cacao butter <3

essential oil should be always added after everything is melted and a little bit cooled, because its gonna evaporate

Thanks! I actually have my own Etsy shop & sell mostly clothes on there but am starting to sell cosmetics too. Anyway I sell these balm perfumes (perfume in a lip gloss texture if anyone’s never used it before lol) in the regular lip balm tubes (except oval instead of round) and for Christmas I got red and green ones of this style thinking “oh it’ll be just perfect for the Christmas scents!” Not at all considering that I was ordering from China (rarely include directions and I wouldn’t be able to read them if they did haha) and had absolutely no idea how to fill them 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

So they can try it out before they go and buy tons of ingredients and try all different things. Very cool. I’ve used a bit of lanolin but never straight petroleum jelly... I’ll have to try that :) I’m more a beeswax/cetyl alcohol/tons of oils, type lol.
