Ответитьtrolling frank sinatra...
ОтветитьHaha...that sounds like what Don Rickles would do
ОтветитьSinatra is the best! And rickles is really something lol.
Ответитьi miss johnnyand those days
ОтветитьNo one can fill Carson's shoes. Did you know he had twice as many viewers as Leno? I have stopped recording the tonight show after many years. Leno was tolerable but Fallon is worthless as far as I am concerned. Supposedly he appeals to a younger audience ( I am 75) but I am not so sure he will make it.
ОтветитьWe could all learn to be more respectful
ОтветитьYou gotta love Don. Doesn't matter who it is, even the biggest entertainer of a generation, Don is sticking it to them. Well played sir.
Ответитьgreat story
ОтветитьDon is a Legend
ОтветитьDon is a Legend
ОтветитьI just saw an old episode of Johnny on Jack Benny. I just saw that he played drums & was a great singer. I learn more about him & love him more each day.....
ОтветитьRIP Don Rickles...One of the funniest men who has ever lived. A legend.
ОтветитьTwo great men hopefully breaking each other's balls again.
ОтветитьThat's not funny.
ОтветитьRIP Mr. Rickles.
Ответитьonly thing better than can impress someone more than frank sinatra saying hi to you, is for you to brush him off! Genius!!!!
ОтветитьAlways makes me laugh
ОтветитьRickles got away with things nobody else dared pull on Sinatra, and Sinatra loved to laugh so much that he let Don do his thing. When Don would be finished at a Roast or similar, the sincerity with which he then honored the guest was humble and heartfelt. The hysterically funny but cut-to-the-bone style that he and Berle and King and that group used was never mean-spirited even though it sounded so antagonistic. There was a genuine camraderie between Rickles and Sinatra that seems gone from entertainment now. Growing up in the 1970s, it seemed to me that this was just what entertainment was. I wish it had never stopped.
ОтветитьLove this story....Lol....what a prank. Don Rickles was so funny.
Ответитьwho pimped who bby?
ОтветитьThose guys were the best ,irreplaceable!
ОтветитьIf you could have put that scene on film...it would be a classic.
ОтветитьI've heard this story a couple of times now, but that was first time I heard Frank tell it, it's a wonderful story, and you can tell Frank loves to tell it, the world was much different back then, stories were important and they were told over and over again, because they were good stories, short and sweet, with a wicked twist of unexpected humour... gold jerry gold
ОтветитьFrank had great comedic timing.
Ответить😂😂
ОтветитьJohnny Carson

Success is a must until its a bust
ОтветитьThose were the days….
ОтветитьWhat I love is how Frank and Don's mothers - who they both adored introduced them to each other - their mom's were friends -- and it was Etta Rickles who asked Dolly Sinatra "can you please have your son Frank come and see my son's act" - and Dolly called Frank and told him to go see Don performing at Murray Franklin's a small club in Miami Beach - Don was still a struggling and not very well known comic at that time. Frank who by then was a superstar went and loved Don's act - that began a life long friendship, and at Frank's funeral Don Rickles was one of the pall bearers. It all began with their Mom's introducing them. God bless them all and may they all RIP - Frank, Don, Dolly and Etta
ОтветитьIt is hands down the funniest story ever. Who else could do that to Frank Sinatra. And you know Sinatra had to stand there and laugh because he was getting hammered by rickles and there was nothing he could do about it. That's the kind of humor that really sticks if you have a good sense and Sinatra did with rickles.
ОтветитьSINATRA AND DON RICKLES ARE LIVING LEGENDS!!!
Ответить🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 fell off my seat !!!
Ответитьi can't understand what he said when the audience reacted
ОтветитьBill Hader brought some of us here 😁
Ответить3 legends all gone
This Era
This talent
This god given gifts are unfortunately not given to today's artists ....no fault of theys
It just a different time nowadays
Expresso. 🤣
ОтветитьHilarious. Rickles was the best
ОтветитьThe difference is Rickles could joke at being mean whereas Sinatra could be a bully and reveled in it.
For a specific story I suggest Gilbert Gottfried’s Amazing Colossal Podcast with Griffin Dunne. He tells a Sinatra story that negatively affected his family personally.
They used this joke in 30 ROck
ОтветитьDons a genius. It’s one thing to say you know a celebrity, it’s another thing entirely to be able to tell them to piss off
Ответить2025 - still come back here when I need to be cheered up, such a great bit.
ОтветитьI know everyone says, of their own generation, “there’s no one like this anymore.” These guys are before my generation, and I can honestly say that no one of my time, or since, has been such larger than life characters!
Ответитьkkkkkkkk fantastic
