She really acted insane sometimes. I have intrusive thoughts as well but I'd never do any of those things I think she had something else going on 😭😂

I really wish she would have left Natasha alone! Like ma'am, you ruined her marriage, you can not remedy that. The REALLY sad part is she's not doing it for Natasha, she's doing it because she can't stand being the bad guy in ANY situation

Carries emotional/mental issues manifest in inappropriate ways and then she points the finger. She has the emotional maturity of a teenager.

In Twelve Step the key point of the making amends step in recovery is “unless doing so will injure them or others.” If Carrie really cared about Natasha’s feelings she’d have left her well alone, it was always self-serving bullshit.

The thing that annoyed me was Carrie NEEDED to stalk to get an answer when it wasn’t necessary and (at least from what I remember) none of her friends really stopped her or put her in check about her stalking problem.

Chapeau!
The fact that Carrie refers to herself as a 'grieving wife' in relation to Natasha is mindblowingly galling! How much does she think Natasha grieved over the loss of her marriage, tooth, ability to trust, etc?
I think Carrie's real problem with Natasha is that Natasha is ridiculously astute, and has had Carrie's number from the start. Natasha is the one person she can't fool or manipulate, so she's anathema to Main Character Carrie.

“What kind of a person doesn’t respond to a grieving wife?” 😑😑😑

Carrie’s psychosis has upgraded Natasha from being “an idiot” to a full-on bad person—even though Carrie went out of her way to belittle, hurt, and embarrass Natasha over a dude who was cheating on his fucking wife with her.

It’s absolutely insane that Carrie thinks she’s entitled to any of Natasha’s time or energy, and thinks that creating and maintaining healthy boundaries from toxic people somehow makes Natasha the fucking bad guy here.

She pretty much did the same thing, at Big and Natasha's, just before Natasha came home......
She's vile

I was so incredibly baffled by her stalking Nina . Yes , she thinks poorly of you because you cheated on her ex and SHE had to deal with his trust issues . What do you think she would think when you say " omg things happen in a relationship blah blah ?" . Her nonchalant expression gave Carrie a reality check 😂

Big seems pretty mentally ill, too. It's probably why he never dumped her.
Aidan is coming back. If he doesn't get with Natasha and finally convince Nat to get s restraining order, this reboot was for nothing

In fairness, Big wasn’t happy with Natasha and shouldn’t have married her; Carrie didn’t ruin that marriage on her own. Her neurosis is supposed to be entertainment, but we evolved past it and want her to evolve with us…😂

Hot Take: Behind every woman who acts unhinged like Carrie does, is a man who made her that way. I do not want to defend her behavior. However, I do see it as a direct result of the hot and cold mixed message madness that was Big's behavior. Carrie should have left that guy at the first mixed signal, because frankly sticking with someone like that often results in this kind of shady behavior. Humans crave the truth, when they are denied it by normal means, they sometimes seek it through abnormal means. (Once again, not defending Carrie's choices, just wish BIG'S were mentioned here more).

As a fashion gay from the same timeline of this show, who had many a white Carriesque friend in those years and was very similar in my dating behavior, I see Carries “stalking” of Natasha as a very specific ideology that’s your missing in all of this.

In the “white world” things are not as we see them as black people from the outside. We think of Carrie as just another white woman, living a white woman lifestyle that seems way more expensive than many could afford in the city at the time. However, that’s not what Carrie is meant to embody. She’s more like Barbara Streisand in The Way We Were and Big is like Hubble - a wealthy gentile man who on paper would never look past a Natasha for a Carrie.

Before the internet, a woman like Natasha’s lifestyle would be mysterious and perfect from the outside. Travel, pearls and UES. Now it’s mundane, but the stalking Carrie did was not unlike what people today would do to a wealthy guy if he had Instagram and was out of your league. You’d want to see what clues may have led him to choose you.

Watching SATC as a mature adult some years later I can’t believe all the problematic behavior we thought was acceptable or even celebrated. Carrie was a horrible person who lied, cheated, and used all those around her. The only “real” character on the show was Samantha yet they wrote her as the butt of the joke.

From the moment at the Hamptons party where Carrie runs into Big and Natasha, Carrie had an unhealthy obsession with Natasha. Even that ep where Carrie blows all that money on those Manolo Blahnik sandals and the dress from Bergdorfs that she couldn't really afford hoping just to run into Natasha at the 'Ladies of the Arts' luncheon was over the top. Not healthy behavior.

Carrie's neurotic need to not be seen as a "bad person" to the people she's harmed indirectly is insane. Shes so selfcentered that she can't even fathom that people don't want to talk to her or hear her out especially when she's a grown ass woman who participated in cheating
