For the sake of android, please test the windows emulators , run some games like gtav and others, snapdragon 8 gen 3 already runs most of the AAA titles easily.

It would be great too see putting the sd elite performance to test❤

The software in the demos is bad not the NPU itself, We don't know yet how Samsung and other companies AI software will look like on Snapdragon 8 Elite

Still not a single creator has covered anything about battery life or efficiency, which is one of the most important things that customers look for.

They aren't a software company thats upto the oems to better implement these types of ai feature these are just basic tech demos it remains to be seen if Samsung will make better use of it the issues with it probably aren't a hardware problem being too weak npu or something I think its just the software is a basic demo and not fully fleshed out

That was really a whole lot of gimmicks for a single presentation. Qualcomm outdoing themselves.
I just hope the new design without small cores brings efficiency up like it did for Mediatek with the 9300.

Google is still the best when it comes to AI.
Honestly, from everything I've seen and heard from this video i strongly believe that the tensor g3 in the pixel 8 series does AI better than the SD 8 elite

How much raw performance is enough for mobile device? Unnecessarily packing raw power ain't even useful for current generations devices. Since phones are crossing upwards of 1000$ regularly, it's better to draw a line and make some useful upgrades while maintaining costs.

Qualcomm is not responsible from software at all. They just created some demos to prove it is promising. At least i would be surprised if snapdragon would offer such softwares.

AI up scaling coming to mobile is awesome and glad to see Qualcomm is tying to get developers to utilize it. AI up scaling, frame generation,& frame interpolation are what I’m most excited by when it comes to AI in smartphones. Wish we got to see a demo showcasing the increasing of a games frame rate using those technologies.

Patiently waiting real world use tests. Dont care too much about the NPU improvements for AI, more interested in how the new chip handles thermals and efficiency. We have peaked in terms of performance already.

Not a single developer will give a shit to this and to me it looks like how or miss. Instead of refining the processor or to polish the existing feature that works made more sense. It just feels like mah.

Yes, overhyped like every year. Qualcomm comes out claiming gigantic gains, only to be the same overheating mess year after year. They think that by using "AI" in front of every feature that existed before AI makes it sound cooler.

Back in the day performance differences between chips was important because of some of them being disappointing notably Samsung made chips. But for the last couple of years performance has peaked and I don't think many of us will ever want for anything more. So I am more interested in efficiency. Are these performance upgrades meaning the same task can be done with less wattage? We will wait to see from real reviews rather than marketing spiel from QUALCOMM.

This is just a marketing ad for Snapdragon, just so you guys know.
Android Authority has signed a contract with Snapdragon and so do all others who show it off as something really cool.
It is just another upgrade to smartphones and that's it.
The AI you can get from websites. The gaming in 4k you can get from the PC.

The problem on android gaming is game library, no matter what your powerful devices as long as the game is not update it still sucks. What is the most demanding gpu on android game? Genshin, star rail, honkai impact that even mid range device can run that. Why dont you bring console games to android with that such powerful chipset? Such re4 remake, god of war, assasins creed, etc.
