Fantastic video. Definitely a hybrid man myself
ОтветитьTotally correct Lee! Always carried a 4 iron, hybrids just don’t work for me. You pay your money take your choice 🏌🏼🏌🏻♂️
Ответить" One question I get asked a lot" is who did this to my hair 😂😂😂 ....Great video Lee 👍
ОтветитьHi Lee, I carry a Cleveland launcher 4 iron. All the forgiveness of a hybrid without the roll and bulge of a hybrid which I don't like. Be great to see you try one? 👍
ОтветитьGood luck on Friday Lee, hopefully see you for a 🍺
ОтветитьOn the first tee shot Lee there was not really much difference in height, but i do find it easier to deliberately de loft a long iron.
ОтветитьIn my area 🇨🇦, it’s all parkland courses. I retired the 4 and 5 iron years ago and my current set stops at the 6 iron and then hybrids and woods after that.
ОтветитьThe cost of having both a long iron and hybrid shouldn't be that much of a factor. I bought two nice Cobra F6 hybrids for a combined price of about $90 a few years back, So unless you're a golf snob, there are some good options at affordable prices. I upgraded most of my bag last year with 2021 model clubs, but those 2016 Cobra F6 hybrids aren't going anywhere.
ОтветитьI just moved to a hybrid. A srixon sx 3 hybrid.
Its much easier to hit and not as hard as I thought it would be to hit a stinger with it. Its easier with a long iron but every other shoot is easier with a hybrid🤣
I have a Mizuno FliHi 2 iron and a G430 3 hybrid. Do exactly as you say Lee, links or windy, iron goes in, soft parkland course, hybrid every day. Horses for courses.
ОтветитьLove that your playing Wilson’s!
ОтветитьEnjoying the content Lee. You have me almost wanting to trade in my current hybrid for a Wilson hybrid. I'm looking forward to seeing how your new Wilson Hi-Toe wedge plays
ОтветитьI played 4 hybrid only issue I have hook it once in awhile my 5 iron is the same degree , so I’m sticking wit 5 iron 😁…. Keep up the good work !!!!!
Ответитьwhich golf course is this?
ОтветитьHi Lee does your Dynapower hybrid have an adjustable hosel or fixed??
Ответитьproper looking Links course irons low into the wind.. Hybrid with the wind... done and Dusted😉😉 Booked those flights to NZ for the next videos?? Also IF you name it "AROUND WITH LEE" AM I on a percentage of the rights???😅😅
ОтветитьI have both - 3 hybrid and long irons (2 and 3) - and way prefer hitting the irons. That said, I've been giving my hybrid a second chance recently and am hitting it longer than the irons. So difficult to decide.
ОтветитьLee, as a general rule l use long irons when playing links and hybrids when playing parkland, as l have got older and my speed has dropped off l find hybrid’s are easier to use. As someone who used a 10 degree 1 iron when l was on tour it pains me to realise l not the player l was. Glad the pga training is going well, we used to have a week at Lillishall to complete our training back in the 70’s under the trainers. We had interviews with the pga secretary during the course, scary shit as if he didn’t like what you said your career was over in 15 minutes. Keep up with the blogs great content.
ОтветитьSwings looking good Lee 👍
ОтветитьI have the same perception problem and it drives me nuts
ОтветитьJust purchased Dynapower 5 hybrid... hope i hit it as well on the course as i hit in the shop
ОтветитьA tip for you my friend: when you set up, you have the weight on your heels, which makes you stand up a little through impact. You have to really. I played professionaly for 20 years so not bullshiting you. A better setup will make it easier for you to keep your spine more in balance. When pressure is on the heels you will struggle with pushes and hooks, and it is also a reason that you duff a lot of shots! What you want, at setup, is your hipbone to be inline with your ankles, If you draw a line you will see thats not what you are doing. Basically with your setup its all about timing and hand eye coordination. Impossible to control face to path with a setup like yours. Good Luck mate!
ОтветитьI find that an iron is more forgiving with a miss-hit from a fairway. I have a tendency to duck-hook the hybrid. I still carry both in my bag because the hybrid is very useful for getting a better strike from leaf litter under trees or if I have a restricted swing. The hybrid is also a useful putter from 30-40 metres out - I have never been able to chip consistently from that distance
ОтветитьWhat are you scraping the club with
ОтветитьLike you said it depends what your gonna be using them most for, if its off tee then crossover - iron, into greens hybrid stopping power, it's a no brainer hybrid all day long, my driving is fine I don't need a fairway finder, but I do need a club that stops on long par 4s and par 5s for 2nd shots
