ОтветитьHe "dances to this primitive drumming"? And may I ask what's so "primitive" about that, Mr. Narrator? Huh?
Ответить2: 26, 4: 41 "I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire." -Daniel 7: 9

ОтветитьAll I can say is waw
Ответитьthey dont appear to be denied of anything
ОтветитьGenital mutilation is totally wrong! End of story!
ОтветитьLets not generalize stupid narrator. Only certain few and archaic European communities practiced Chasity belts and clitroectomy. Most of those were practiced in Italy, Germany and Eastern European nations and mainly done by select members of society (very rarely practiced). England for example didn't practice gentile mutilation and Chasity belts were rarely used only by nobles and royals. Never were they practiced by the lower classes of society. Peasants had enough to worry about as it is without barbaric practices or fantasy notions of controlling women. Peasant men prefer their women independent so that more can be done. Most Europeans didn't practice gentile mutilation at the same scale and attitude as most nations within the African continent has and many of those nations still do practice. Documentary spewing out lies, trying to force the agenda that this was done too by white Europeans at the same scale and volume. Get the fuck out of here. Say the whole details about the practices or shut the fuck up about them.
ОтветитьWhy is this guy talking as if he has a vagina...
ОтветитьPeace to the ancestors
ОтветитьThanks. But boring narrative voice. Yuk!!!!
ОтветитьThe bridge❤
ОтветитьOne of the most racist narrated documentary i'd seen till date. speaking on the holy idols as 'fetishes'by means of having no other words? This isnt an introduction to the whole of Africa. you nitpicked some things and started your story there is progress in that continent but if yoy faik to see it you could never teach it.
ОтветитьWhat an fascinating documentary. Most definitely like their religion over most.
Ответитьits disgusting what they do to young girls removing their clitoris
ОтветитьI HATE the sound affects. It really disrespect these people making it seem like what they are doing is wrong or scary.
ОтветитьWhy are the worlds called "lost" when they are well hidden from Europeans?
Ответить"They called them savages so they could treat them savagely, they called them inhuman so they could treat them inhumanely..." Dr. Amos N. Wilson
Ответитьmost them people in the comment section don't know what they are talking about. Those people worshipped demonic spirits and oppressed women by taking away there sexual pleasure and overworking them. How is this good?!
ОтветитьI was loving it but then the Euro commentary killed it. This used to happen with all the National Geographic ones too. I just wish they would just let the camera roll and not insert themselves so much.
ОтветитьWE SHOULD BE THE NARRATOR OF OUR OWN STORIES
WE SHOULD BE THE NARRATOR OF OUR OWN STORIES
WE SHOULD BE THE NARRATOR OF OUR OWN STORIES
so great, in which country are this culture are practice?
ОтветитьWhy do Africans Haitians and jamaicans ect let these white foreigners keep recording them especially when it has to do with our secret magic. Those are things only descendants of the country should know and benefit from. So sick of this documentaries

ОтветитьOMG - I AM FIJIAN which is part of the Melanesian Groups of Islands in the South Pacific. I see the resemblance of the ladies dress (long skirt and a dress) is very much similar to our SULU & JABA ...
ОтветитьA recommendation from Silas Nyanchwani
ОтветитьMagnifique
ОтветитьBeautiful documentary
The narrator seems 2 b discriminating African spirituality as voodoo, sorcery or secret cult worship of spirits... This is what Africa gets when whites are to speak your history or spirituality on your behalf... They belittle or demonize it.
Africa must say and write its own story !!!
Proud descendant of the Ivory Coast and Africa in general 👏🏽
ОтветитьAs a Christian it just terrifies me knowing that there is a chief demon acting behind it n the land of Africa has always terrified me due to its famous witcraft history.god have mercy on africa
ОтветитьGlad my people stick to their beliefs no matter how many cultures try to convince them of otherwise 💪🏽
ОтветитьDEMONIC
ОтветитьThe beauty of this culture is apparent, but the lack of pleasure and mutilation of these women is heartbreaking. The imposition of this type of mutilation by men is selfish and even evil as they continue to enjoy a woman's body as she is just a vessel of use. I get why some of the women run off and even choose death...heartbreaking beyond understanding.
ОтветитьIt is a good documentary and enjoyable to watch as we see the Dan, The Senufo, The Lobi, The Kru as among other groups in this beutiful geographic area commonly known as Ivory coast show some of their magical and highly scientific traditions. I urge the viewer to take into account that the narrator imposes a western academical mindset propaganda in certain parts of the documentery, like when implying that the elder women of the Kru secret society want young girls to suffer the way they did as the reason why they support "mutilation". These are wise elder women and whatever opinion, popular or unpopular someone has about it, these women are family oriented before anything and we should rather respect them by consider if there are other reasons for this than what the western propaganda enforce on us. Also, at the end he clearly says that the person will die from Malaria if he dont get Western medicine. People like the Lobi, Senufu, Dogon etc has extensive knowledge about medicine and healing. I myself are initiated as a Dogon and have seen people healed from sicknesses where western medicine have failed them, and the traditional priests we work with do heal malaria, even very bad cases though they dont shy medicine like coartem knowing that they ofter are the fastest way to get rid of it. It might be the way i interpret the narration but it sounds like he is saying something i often hear people believe here in the West that people will die of Malaria without medicine. In that case it would also be incorrect and i know many that has went to malaria without medicine. Anyway, keeping some of this taughts in mind i recommend to watch this one for a beutiful inside into this cultures
