Yes, this part is intense, but I have watched the entire 2 hour video (which is awesome) and he definitely exhibits a wide range of intensity, with some parts so soft you have to listen carefully...

No, I have very little ego and try to eliminate it whenever possible. In fact, my disgust for oversized egos, narcissism, and selfishness is what prompted my criticism of this guy's communication style. If you communicate like this guy, you are only cutting yourself off and alienating yourself from civilization. This guy is the type who needs the whisper in the year that he is a good boy.

The point that I am making is that his overemphasized, in-your-face, exaggerated communication style overshadows the content. The center of any communication should be content.. not delivery. My defense systems go up when someone tries too hard to get my attention, he is selling it too hard. For all I know the content might be worthwhile, but I was repelled by his hard selling me on the content. Let the content stand on its own merit.

You are right, but it is not just the internet. Text messaging as well as short comments like these lose part of the message. You can't hear the tone of my voice or see my expressions. People read the text and will fill in the blanks. If a comment questions something that I like, I may place a confrontational tone on the commenter's message when no tone was delivered at all as a result of the medium.

Love Les, but this video is a LEAST favorite. Too preachy and repetitive.
