What Is The Difference Between Watercolor, Gouache & Acrylic Paint

im shocked how no one even knew what gouache was until this video

I am now back to acrylic,s. Its ny first medium wen i was 16. I experimented whut gouache,oil,s watercolour in tubes and in pan,s and india inkt. I love acrylic paint from liquitex basics. I love gouache too but i love to work whit acrylic cause its my first medium bye

I've always found found watercolor too "watery" and hard to control, and acrylic too "thick" and it dries too fast and can't be reactivated, i think gouache will be the perfect in between
though it's not as common so sadly they don't have it at the place where i do painting

I am a pro (certified) painter. Love oil, pastell, gouache and watercolor, being proficient in all the above, yet never was able to use acrilycs. It's like alien language to me. I just don't feel it nor do I get the very nature of it. It's "flow" is way different from all other paint, I know. It just looks and feels to me like some oil paint, that is gone bad.

Gouache is basically an opaque, non shiny watercolor + you can use white paint, just like with oil paint.
