Happy Birthday Consul Albert Awad 100 Years Young

Honored at The U.S Embassy In Manila Consular Corps Luau Fellowship Night

Consul of Granada Mr. Albert Awad who has chosen to spend this Annual Fellowship At The Us Embassy with us as has been his custom for the last 4 years.Albert Awad is A Legend In His Own Time.He is without a doubt the most senior of Consuls in the Philippines and maybe in the all the world.

He is also one of the most mild mannered soft spoken gentleman that still goes to work everyday and travels twice a year to the USA.He survived just in recently year 3-4 accidents that would have shaken any man in his 40's.Albert Awad was born on JUne 4 1908 so that makes him 99.9 approx. yrs old today.Yet he challenges that saying hes past the 100 mark if you count the nine months is mother carried him.

When people ask him how he lived so long he replies cheerfully: "Healthy"

1) I dont smoke - causes cancer

2) I dont drink - causes liver kidney probs

3) I dont eat much - to prevent diabetes cholesterol

4) I never let myself get agitated - that causes high blood pressure

5) I excercised (swam) till i was 95

6) I never fooled around- i married miss florida , my wife Yvonne has kept me young all these years.

And thats with to whom Albert Awad will be going to spend his hundredth birthday with.Going to travel all the way to the East cost of the USA to see the love of his life.

Those are truly words of wisdom that make Albert Awad A Role Model for us all.Albert Awad is a treasure. I am honored that he is here with us today and that he considers me, a mere kid of 55..his friend.

May God bless him and keep him with us many more years to come so we can enjoy this wonderful man and learn from his mild mannered life and times.

So without further ado may i ask you please to raise your glasses in a toast to the youngest 100 year old consul that ever lived.
