IF I understood it correctly what you want to do with that “global().update()” line is to access a variable out of the function scope without passing it as a parameter. Well, python has a keyword to do that that consider the immediately outer scope of that function. Try it! —> “nonlocal x” this will access x outside the function without doing that ugly thing and mess up the rest. Hope it works let me know 👉🏻
