For the first catch this day I tracked from overhearing BNSF Stockton Dispatcher and after waiting and filming a light rail service disruption to speed up time, this northbound BNSF finally was getting close so I went to my designated spot to setup here at Florin Rd arriving back here 10 minutes before the train which had an Norfolk Southern unit and two H1 livery units amongst 8 units together. I also got a couple of Sacramento light rails on the Blue Line going over the Florin Road grade separation bridge. Later this day I also had got D Street.
My biggest objective was to get this crossing in its new signal phase timing didn't work out the previous few days before as I was out here as the day I had free time to come out, nothing came down the Sac Sub until night otherwise I actually would of got this a few days earlier which was days after these signals were installed as these were installed a week prior to me filming this. The new signals here replaced three late 1980s to early 2000s Safetran EM Signals installed by UP in the early 2000s and a WCH signal that was a knock down replacement installed in the late 2000s by UP. The two gateless signal and the cantilever remained the same like expected. Now this crossing has a new bell combo of a typical UP crossing. This crossing, Cornelius Ave, and Riego Rd to me are big disappointments to see replaced due to the equipment they each had especially the two that were EM's here and at Cornelius its just the equipment that were at these three crossings are hard to find on UP lines. Especially now that the Safetran Type 1 E-Bell the last one remaining on the Sac Sub is now gone. I wish they added a GS Type 3 E-Bell or an WCH Type 4 E-Bell on the former gateless SACRT signal. The median curbs were rebuilt even more higher than when rebuilt a month ago fir these new signals.
This crossing owned by Union Pacific is an mixed install with the cantilever and left gateless signal being an UP Early 2000s signal install. All gated mast signals are an UP Early 2020s signal install. The right gateless signal is an SACRT Early 2000s signal install.
