the premise is basically Avatar. I mean damn
Ответитьwoah im glad i didnt see season 2 as it was airing lmao.
ОтветитьIt truly is sad how far Rooster Teeth has fallen. And speaking of shows that had promise we will probably never see another season of Nomad of Nowhere and Obsolete.
ОтветитьI loved genlock season 1. And i waited (and eventually forgot) about season 2 then stumbled on this video.... im glad i didnt waste my time watching this shit
ОтветитьIs the background music played in the intro the Witchblade's second opening?
ОтветитьYou know that the Gen-Lock is better if the only main mecha pilot is Chase.
ОтветитьGlad I didn't watch the second season since I think if I even saw it for full context I be all, fudge this fudge this I am done!, on it.
ОтветитьRT is over, and we'll never have to suffer another episode of this show ever again. 2024 is off to a decent start so far.
ОтветитьWho else is here after finding out the show isTRASHlol?
ОтветитьYou know that killing off a character right after his arc is a trope in mecha anime?
ОтветитьAnd rt is dead
ОтветитьI didn’t even finish season 2. The show had potential to be great! A major waste!
ОтветитьSeason 2's biggest turn off for me was definitely the disconnect between the Union of season 1 in the Union of season 2. Season 1's Union was a military superpower that was about conquering all of Earth. Season 2's Union was this weird cult-like nano machine religion that seemed almost Arabic in nature. It was like I was watching two very different shows.
ОтветитьIn my opinion, gen:LOCK is Voltron: Legendary Defender but worse.
ОтветитьAnd now we’ve arrived at RT finally getting shutdown. RIP BOZO
ОтветитьForget the episodic review.... is anyone gonna talk about how miserably woke this crap was???? I cant believe any of this came out of japan. How far you have fallen. Bring back masculinity and real feminine characters this unisex crap is just that 💩
Ответитьthe 1st season was honestly enjoyable, I fell in love with some of the characters, and then.. I watched season 2, and it just ruined everything
ОтветитьAh, what a fantastic waste of money they couldn't afford to lose for the sake of a completely D- Tier Mecha knockoff.
Ответить“We know, controversy is good though”
The fact that it was (apparently) said by the people of Rooster Teeth makes that statement age worse than milk left out in the middle of the desert.
I remember when I watched season 2, it actually made me depressed. Then I stopped watching the show after camie became a sentient nanites and haven’t watched it since because I’m pretty sure I’m gonna get depressed again
ОтветитьU know, the ideas themselves have potential, but their development and executing were a desastre. They could had made can’t had experienced with suicidal tendencies and depression as a result of her family’s death. Because of it, due to chase’s increasing mental deterioration, can’t could had helped chase pull through. Furthermore, in the case of Yasu, they could had just made his hemlock avatar skinnier, to represent his vulnerability; and instead of anime, he could had watched many action based tv series and movies like fast and furious, making him believe that by becoming strong physically would allow him to not be pushed around by others like what happened to his father( pls fill me in on his comic background, I am not familiar with the comics at all). Lastly, in the case of the changing weather and nanomachines, shouldn’t had the weather and destruction of the planet caused the creation of the vanguard, and the bad guys being a group of disillusioned former vuanguard members who’s leader was part of the hemlock program who’s original purpose was for medical purposes, but grew to become obsessed to it, believing that by abandoning their physical bodies, humanity would survive the coming destruction.
ОтветитьMEGAS XLR !!!!!!!
ОтветитьNice to look back at the begining of the end for RT
ОтветитьI love this video and I’m very entertained but I have to say that I’m occasionally absolutely baffled by some of the BGM choices
ОтветитьI didn't even watch episode 1. Everything I saw in the trailer just seemed off. Gave bad vibes. I can't really explain it clearly. Safe to say, I'm glad I didn't waste my time with it.
After finishing the video, this show sounds like it was written by redditors.
Once I saw that there was a literal sex scene in S2 between Chase's ex and Jodie (or whatever his name was), I knew I would NEVER watch it.
ОтветитьI call season 2 episode 4 the Sex and Shock episode
ОтветитьBg music is incredibly distracting and makes it hard to listen to. Good vid anyways
ОтветитьI got rat poison ad during the transition to the Season 2 part, Kinda funny.
ОтветитьReturning to this after seeing that a writer for Gen:Lock season 2 is writing the new Netflix Gundam show to temper my expectations.
ОтветитьSeason one was actually good but the second season made me so so upset they ruined everything that was interesting about the first season
ОтветитьDon't insult Bionicles like that.
Edit: But nice shout for Obsolete. Good content.
Best part of Genlock, is that you brought up Robot Jocks in this video. Underrated movie.
ОтветитьIf Gen:Lock were to be like Exoprimal or Pacific Rim, it could result in a thrilling fusion of mecha, action, and sci-fi elements. Here's a possible scenario:
Gen:Lock: Mech Hunters
In a world where technology has advanced to merge human minds with machines, a team of elite pilots, known as the "Syncers," pilot powerful mechs called "Syncros" to fight against an alien threat.
Influences from Exoprimal:
- Fast-paced, action-packed battles against monstrous enemies.
- Syncros with unique abilities and playstyles, inspired by Exoprimal's exosuits.
- A focus on teamwork and strategy to take down formidable foes.
Influences from Pacific Rim:
- Epic, large-scale battles against towering monsters, inspired by Pacific Rim's Kaijus.
- Syncros with a mix of sci-fi and industrial design elements, similar to Pacific Rim's Jaegers.
- A sense of camaraderie and heroism among the Syncer pilots, inspired by Pacific Rim's Drift technology.
Gen:Lock's Unique Twist:
- The ability to "Sync" with machines, allowing pilots to control Syncros with their minds.
- A deep exploration of the consequences of merging human and machine consciousness.
- A diverse cast of characters with complex relationships and backstories.
Possible Storylines:
- "The Syncer Initiative": The pilots must learn to work together and master their Syncros to defeat the alien threat.
- "The Machine Uprising": The Syncros begin to develop their own consciousness, leading to a conflict between humans and machines.
- "The Alien Infiltration": The aliens infiltrate the human ranks, forcing the Syncers to question who they can trust.
This fusion would create a unique and captivating universe, blending the best of both worlds to explore the intersection of technology, action, and humanity in a world of mecha and sci-fi elements.
If Gen:Lock and Starship Troopers were to combine, it could result in a thrilling and action-packed universe. Here's a possible scenario:
In a future where humanity has colonized other planets, the Terran Federation from Starship Troopers faces a new threat: an alien invasion like the Diagnoses from Gen:Lock. To combat this menace, the Federation develops advanced mechs, inspired by the Synchros from Gen:Lock.
The combined universe would blend the sci-fi elements and action of both series, exploring themes of patriotism, duty, and the human cost of war.
Some possible storylines:
- "Invasion Frontlines": The Mobile Infantry and Gen:Lock's pilots join forces to defend against the alien invasion.
- "Mech Warfare": The heroes develop new strategies to combat the aliens' advanced technology.
- "Unity in Diversity": The combined forces learn to put aside their differences and work together to save humanity.
This combination would create a rich and exciting narrative, exploring the intersection of patriotism, technology, and humanity in the face of overwhelming odds.
With Rooster Teeth now dead in the ground I can say with full confidence they could not do anything serious as a joke. All their flagships were humor and RWBY only held on by having great fights in the early seasons.
RT was a defining force in my early years and it was sad to see them go but really they've been gone for years
Season 1 was great, 2 i barely remember.
ОтветитьI'll ament it got a good story line but I wish they change the ending that the only thing
ОтветитьIf I had a nickel for every time a rooster teeth animated series made a character killing themselves the right choice, I’d have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice.
ОтветитьSeason 1 was a basic but fun season.
I can't even comprehend wtf that second season was.
Yeap, no Exosquad. The only American-made Mecha show no one cares about anymore, despite being literally the first American-made animated show heavy on the Japanese anime influence back in 1993. Course one of the main problems is that it's on Peacock as a free rerun show.
ОтветитьI love the video but what the hell is up with the background music???
Ответитьunlike other mecha shows, this focuses on the suck
Ответить...Didn't Armored Core: For Answer do the whole "Climate collapse" thing way better? 'Cause of the whole "Humanity has to live up in the sky because the Earth itself is an irradiated wasteland" thing.
ОтветитьThis show is actually such hot ass, I really wish I never watched it or the whole thing ends at season 1 and maybe in the far future it gets an actual good sequel, HBO has wasted my time 2x with this hot trash and The Sopranos.
ОтветитьDon't cry for RoosterTeeth. They were already dead, and moreover they had no-one but themselves to blame.
Ответить
