Very good tip is when you hitting same color continously, more skull pop up. but you cant miss or pull ghost of diffrent color. and in 2nd skull you cant look at symbol and in same rave mode look for it. waste of time. always been in next rave mode

If I fail on the Trap step do I have to go back to the first trap and restart to get the skull

For the fourth step to spell the word skull you have to do it in the round you started spelling it. You can go out of rave mode multiple times you just need to resume from the letter you`re missing.
