So basically unreal engine is a good jump because on as a game producer it’s easier to work with. So basically the previous engine they used was 20x as you said. Basically the previous engine the contractors had a specific time frame to learn and create their part which was not enough time compared to now every other game uses unreal so they don’t need to learn anything and just start working on their part which in the end game will be a lot more crisp hopefully

My biggest concern at this point isn't that the halo game is going to be bad gameplay wise. Halo infinite gets a lot of hate, but its great at its foundation, it just lacks any content or scenery variation in its campaign, which theoretically ue5 solves. My concern is that, considering some of their leadership hires and the people they seem to be hiring in general, that were going to get a halo reboot where master chief is a lesbian black woman with rainbow hair or something like that

My guess would be that the rumored CE Remake is real and they're cutting their teeth on it, and it'll be out to launch with this new platform. They've supposedly been working with UE5 for two years now, and tbey definitely haven't been doing this Foundry test for that long so a game has probably been in development for at least a year.
