The game is a shooter with horror elements. The gloomy atmosphere of the horror of the island of Penal Servitude-12 is created by continuous man-made disasters, which the main character becomes a witness throughout the game. Before us, in the form of ghosts, there are images of people who are doomed to perish. The whole island is inhabited by mutated monsters, which we will have to confront throughout the game. This is all the result of experiments on the E-99 Element and the Singularity Tower, which destroyed the island's population with sudden emissions of radiation and carcinogenic effects on people. Some of them die in the form of ghosts, which the protagonist sees, the fate of others can be learned from audio recordings and diaries. Usually, mummified corpses distorted by agony lie next to such threads in the past.

Игра представляет собой шутер с элементами хоррора. Мрачную атмосферу ужаса острова Каторги-12 создают непрерывные техногенные катастрофы, свидетелем которых на протяжении всей игры становится главный герой. Перед нами в виде призраков возникают образы людей, которые обречены на гибель. Весь остров населен мутировавшими монстрами, противостоять которым нам придётся на протяжении всей игры. Это всё результат экспериментов над Элементом Е-99 и башни «Сингулярность», которые уничтожили население острова внезапными выбросами радиации и канцерогенным влиянием на людей. Некоторые из них гибнут в виде призраков, которых видит протагонист, о судьбе других можно узнать из аудиозаписей и дневников. Обычно рядом с такими нитями в прошлое лежат искаженные агонией мумифицированные трупы.
