I want one really bad! 10mm is the tits!
ОтветитьThis pistol is NOT good for hunting. The unsupported barrel is NOT recommended for hunting loads.
ОтветитьCan’t go wrong with a Colt But 10 mm that you’re too much recoil I would stick with the 45 ACP or my 2011 STI in 9 mm 20 round mags
ОтветитьBut like you said Graig collector peace always got your money in the bank with that gun
ОтветитьGreat
ОтветитьThanks for sharing good review
Ответитьit's a CLOT DELTA 10Mm, NUFF SAID.
Ответить10mm, good hog round.
ОтветитьDo not give up your guns!!
Ответитьsmall game hunting cool can't wait to go squirrel hunting with my 10mm LOL
ОтветитьI have the two tone delta elite and I love it. 10 mm is the best.
Ответить357/38 rules the roost
ОтветитьMy Delta Elite is my go to 10mm for super hot loads, Sig p220 is next
Ответитьyou have a fat face, not cool
ОтветитьColt Delta 10mm or Ruger 10mm, still debating
ОтветитьCan u shoot 40s&w
ОтветитьMine is a 1988 model. Love it, never had a issue.
ОтветитьIs your slide also loose? I was looking at it, compared it to Kimber which was way more tighter and few hundred $$$ cheaper
ОтветитьBought one of these when it came out in 1987. Couldn't wait, but when I picked it up I looked down the barrel and discovered that it was a "Monday or Friday" gun... (Colt was having "labor Issues" in that era.)
>> The barrel was obviously not inspected as it had only 5 groves and one huge land on the rifling!! The tool obviously broke and no-one caught it!
Sent it back to Colt with a nice letter and came back with a really nicely fitted and finished barrel AND the best Series 80 trigger I (or anyone who's tried it) have felt!!! It is incredibly "Shootable" and very accurate to 100 yards!
BUT there is an annoying milling line in the breech-face that leaves a mark on every case... At least I know how many times brass has been reloaded.
I learned a lot in that adventure and always ask to see a couple of the gun I want to buy and inspect it VERY carefully before buying!!
One suggestion .... learn to "fight" the recoil instead of riding the recoil. You'll get your shot times down better.
ОтветитьI just purchased one new in the box never shot.
ОтветитьMine is a 1989 model. Delta Elites have their own mystique and aesthetic. Mine feels great to shoot, with a stout recoil and considerable muzzle flip--a true hand cannon. Once you get used to it, it becomes part of the charm and getting off multiple shots accurately is no problem.
ОтветитьI have one can I change to 45?
ОтветитьTrying to sell my is in perfect condition no wear at all

I was quite upset with the new Delta Elite's quality. Grip safety and trigger were entirely too loose. It came with Novak white dot sights which i hate and you cant really customize it at all cant even add a magwell to it unless you change the color of all other parts because of that shitty grey color on all the small parts that match the top of the slide and lower frame that you cant find anywhere and Colt wont even sell you the parts. First time i shot mine the medallions fell off and within the first 200 rounds wear marks on the hood were noticeable. For an $1100 gun the craftsmanship is garbage. I have a $600 Rock Island Armory 10mm that is much better all the way around. Looks, function & interchangeability of parts AND it comes with a lifetime warranty where as the Colt comes with only 1 year. Colt is only staying afloat because of its history in other words your paying $11,12 or even $1500 for the name because the craftsmanship has gone waaay down to the point of unworthiness since they left the old factory with the blue dome, moved into a shack and let go more than 70% of the workers. Very disappointing in deed
ОтветитьSmall game? I've had my Delta Elite since 91 and killed whitetail buck every season for 29 years. So, Whatchu tawkin bout Willis? 🦌⚰
ОтветитьDelta Elite 10mm = 🦌⚰!
ОтветитьI’ve put down many large whitetail with 10mm. With the right load it’s always a winner.
ОтветитьLost me at 8. Not enough.
Ответитьi love mine, a pleasure, i love my glock 20, but the delta seems much more accurate for me.
Ответитьshot many deer with my 10mm works great.
ОтветитьLooking into having it at last .it's z stop shower.whoa.really aloof power heading at you .you know.
Ответить39 ozs. of nice. I keep my loads at about 650# psi and it's been running sense 1989.
ОтветитьNice pistol I don’t have one in my collection yet I am working on it
ОтветитьWhat a nice colt m4 I got from the best plug ever called immaglockdealer on Wickr he really help me in shipping it
ОтветитьAh. But I'm left handed :(
But on the other hand it's like every single action Colt style revolver was made for me. :)
"Ambidextrious"?!?!
ОтветитьWhat I'm trying to figure out is if Colt has switched up the rollmark on the new production delta elites or what. My stainless I got 2 years ago just says Delta Δ Elite, missing the 10mm text and the ---Colt Auto--. Really sucks because mine looks worse
Ответить🙂👍☕
ОтветитьBack when the Delta Elite came out 1911's were pretty much Colts. The Delta Elite was pricier than the already pricey Colt 1911's so it was way out of the league of most people I knew. Lol Ddi not mean I didi not want one though. Reliable semi-auto's were mostly Colts or Brownings back then. Smith and Wesson were just getting up to speed in the semi auto game. I would go back in a heartbeat though. Those were the days. I graduated in 1986. It would be 1992 before I could afford my first semi auto pistol and it was a Glock 21.
ОтветитьI shot my buddies Colt Delta Elite and I loved it.
ОтветитьIn regards to having a better trigger which is better, the 70 series or 80 series?
ОтветитьWhat makes some more rare than others?
ОтветитьI have had my Delta Elite since 1987. I love the caliber, especially in the 1911 frame. It is close to being the perfect caliber for me. I did have some issues with too high a slide velocity keeping it from feeding properly after I changed the recoil spring to 19 lbs. I had changed it for some lighter ammo and forgot to change it back later when I went with some 180 grain 1200 FPS loads. That was because the slide slammed back and forward too fast for the magazine spring to fully push up the next round. That resulted in a jam. I had tried everything - a new extractor, a lighter recoil spring, different magazines ...all to no avail.
With the change of the recoil spring back to 23 lb. and the addition of a recoil spring guide shock buffer from Wilson Combat, it is back to being reliable again, with no jams at all. Something to try if you have the same problem I did.
I'd like a Delta Elite myself. To me it's beautiful gun and I like that it's 10MM.
