International Volunteers Week Panel Discussion on Lok Sabha TV, Doordarshan India.

Recently, the Lok Sabha Channel, which is the official television channel of the Parliament of India invited me to a Panel Discussion on 'Volunteering and the Voluntary Sector'. The program was telecast nationally on Saturday, the evening of June 2nd 2007 and live discussion was conducted wherein individuals from all over India could ask questions over the phone. I was one of the three national experts (VSO and Oxfam being the other organisations) on the panel and we had a very lively discussion and question - answer session. We discussed the concept of volunteering and the role of the voluntary sector in India. The Video shows some highlights (10 minutes) of the 1 hour discussion.
