Charge 2% usually 50 dollar minimum on my trades in my EJ account. Then 2% reinvest of dividends
ОтветитьI'm in Canada and one come to my door. He's got university education. I signed with him but might lower the amount I invest. A buddy s gonna walk me through investing myself. Thanks for the advice.
ОтветитьGreat video !
ОтветитьHey man. Look hopefully you see this comment but my parents run a financial advising firm (mainly focused on 403bs and 401ks) and I’m highly interested in getting into it. But I first need to pass my series 6,7 and life and wealth test. What’s the best method for getting ready for these likely test and what’s the best thing to study to take these? Thanks man.
ОтветитьSome of their staff is nice, but the business model just doesn't work for most of them and they aren't competitive in what they bring to the table.
If I really wanted a Mutual Fund manager, I could go to Schwab or Fidelity. If I wanted to buy stocks for swing trading, I can go to Robinhood or Betterment. For day trading, I could go to TD Ameritrade or E-Trade. They are 3 decades behind everyone in the industry.
He’s talking about an A share mutual fund which is going to cost that 5% no matter who you buy it from.
ОтветитьThey provide the best training in the industry to their Advisors. Focus on building long term financial planning solutions and partner not only with the client but their kids and entire family. Will work with clients CPAs and attorneys to focus on a complete financial strategy. Provide insurance analysis to ensure proper protection and coverage. Discuss tax strategies and estate planning to ensure the clients wealth is properly transferred to their loved ones or charities. Will discuss and put in place educational savings strategy’s. Most importantly their clients will know their retirement goals to ensure they are on track to get there early or on time. All backed by a Fortune 500 company that’s been doing it for 90+ years and will confidently recommend not just American funds but the right American funds along with access and analytics to many of the top stocks and fund company’s out there...(MFS, Franklin, John Hancock, blackrock, lord Abbott, Schwab, federated, etc). was one of the only firms that were actually expanding during the last recession of 08/09. While other firms were laying off they were hiring. All while being privately owned and not controlled by shareholders. Only revenue source is their client base. They don’t have other branches of their business that raise capital or sell loans like most larger firms who lean on those revenue sources if their clients money is not performing. This Ensures the clients best interests is in all decisions otherwise their out of business. Oh and their a completely debt free company. Sounds like a firm I would really consider if I didn’t have the time, temperament, and discipline to think through all those things on my own throughout my life.
ОтветитьCan advisors at Jones not be good planners?
ОтветитьI hear you say you wouldn’t go to Jones for planning. Where would you go? Honest question.
ОтветитьEd Jones sucks bad... I made no money in 3 years w them.. Took my all my $ out 6 months ago when my investments were up to what I put in! (lost $300 actually) ... If I had left my money with those funds from Edward Jones. Today I'd be down over 15k! I wanted to make $, not get ass fucked. I now will never invest in any kind of financial mutual fund, or stock shit ever again! It's a rip off and stupid, I honestly believe all financial people are scammers out to trick you, esp if you are naive.
ОтветитьIt’s not ED Jones, it is Edward Jones. I have had both Edward Jones and even before them I had a CFP and both work, but they are different and each provide a different type of service.
ОтветитьI have been very pleased with Edward Jones. No doubt you can get trades cheeper with these online accounts but they have taken care of me. My guy with Ed Jones really stresses long term investment and it is something he has always done.
ОтветитьFuck Edward Jones!!!!
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьDid anyone invest with that company before?
ОтветитьHello. Is it true that the company allows people to invest in a monthly contract from the United States of America at a rate of 75% profit per month? Is this true, please?
ОтветитьYeah had a young lady about 3 ago in NJ from Ed Jones going door to door in the hot summer heat. I gave her a water bottle. I was surprised in my area rural no sidewalks. I never saw her before. She said she had an MBA & worked at a new branch in Frenchtown. She was legit check her profile. I told her no thank you have Vanguard. " Wouldn't you like a second opinion?" She kept calling me back. Finally, she got the message.
ОтветитьAre you gonna do it for me .nope then shut up.
ОтветитьI don't like someone who has Minecraft in their Dock telling me how to invest. You've got Minecraft and 2 EPIC games doc icons and I'm supposed to listen to you?
ОтветитьThe problem is most of us dont know finance, dont want to know finance, and dont know who to go to for help. The industry and process is complicated. The language is exclusive. Learning enough to be confident is time consuming. And, our job is to make money and that's enough. The financial industry is all special interests with annuities, stocks, mutual funds, taxes, social security, real estate, cash, and inheritance. The average person doesnt know what they dont know. And then you get a call from someone you used to work with who is now a financial planner with EJ wanting at least some of your portfolio. Amazing.
ОтветитьThey changed their rules in May2017, so I left. High fees for nothing. I already paid my fees, and then they wanted 1.5% on top of it, no thanks.
ОтветитьThe price for bonds and stocks/etfs/indexes is free. If they charge anything at all it's a rip off.
ОтветитьAn Ed Jones guy repeatedly went door to door in my neighborhood (Raleigh NC area) and I always treated him politely, very decent guy, chatted with him openly about my situation (I’m all-in and very happy with Vanguard). I felt bad for him because that’s a tough way to make a living and I knew he might not get friendly receptions as he went up the street. But he was all sales all the time, pressing one or two stocks or funds on each visit, same scripted pitch on each visit, as if he hadn’t heard a word I’d said on his last visit. Gotta give him credit for being focused, though! That was my first and only experience with Ed Jones and I can’t imagine that I’ll have another.
ОтветитьHow do I take my money out of Edward Jones 60k and put it in a brokerage account I can manage myself?
Ответить17 years in the business, all i can say is this guy drops truths and lies and
Ответитьsorry I hit the enter button, just sayin not the whole truth, and I've never even worked at Ed Jones just sayin'
ОтветитьTheres no one "reviewing" Ed Jones going over actual reaults they achived.
ОтветитьVery expensive
ОтветитьI've been with Edward Jones over 15 years. I'm low key disappointment with them. I dont know what I'm paying them besides $40 a year.
ОтветитьEDWARD JONES BAD INVESTMENT STAY AWAY FROM THE SCAM OFFICE YOU CAN PUT UP YOUR MONEY AND IF YOU HAVE ANY GAIN SAY YOUR UP 5000 THEY WILL SIT ON THERE COMPUTER AND DELETE YOUR GAIN INTO THERE ACCOUNT AND ADVISOR WILL WIPE OUT YOUR GAIN FOR ADVISOR GAIN KEEP YOUR MONEY IN THE BANK OR ELSE WHERE STAY CLEAR OF EDWARD JONES
ОтветитьI've been finding them quite annoying. They really don't want to let go of money. Always out of office.
ОтветитьJust left ED JONES!!!! Best decision so far in my new financial journey!
ОтветитьHi, how do I live my EJ accounts to Fidelity or Vanguard? Can I do it directly ? My EJ advisor is okay, but now that I know about these fees I don't want to keep my investments there.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your thoughts. They have 1.714 trillion USD (Q3 2021) under management
ОтветитьI’m a big proponent of Edward Jones and politely disagree with some of your opinions. Namely how their advisors aren’t financial planners.
ОтветитьOK people that come to this video like me want to know if it’s worth Edward Jones making us money because they know what they’re doing that’s why we pay the fees because it is professionals and that’s not my job I don’t know anything about it kind of rambling here a little bit guy you don’t think that it’s worth people to try to use a bigger company with somebody that that’s all they do what I wanna know if I do handguard that I’m flying by the seat of my pants I don’t have any idea what I’m doing right??
ОтветитьI was looking at the Guided Flex account with them. The fee structure is a bit high though the minimum investment is lower than your typical SMA you would find at other firms. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
ОтветитьThe bond funds I have at Ed Jones have been dragging anchor for 2 years, (the length of time I've been with them) BLDAX is about .66% expense ratio and it loses money. The small dividend doesn't make it break even. All our bonds are Blackrock at Ed Jones. Why bonds???
ОтветитьThese people are scamming elderly in kingston TN I have video of the EJ employes bullying a 67 yr old female and trying to scam her , she was crying as they refused her access to her money. They said her account disbursements were up to them not her. Derick at kingston tn EJ was the offender.
ОтветитьIn my 20s (in the 90s), I opened an IRA with Ed Jones and faithfully put in every month until the Great Recession 08, when it was really losing. Since then, I have just let it sit. I do most of my investing with Fidelity.
ОтветитьSo much of this is not true! Do your research!
ОтветитьEdward Jones in Yucca Valley, California is a scam. Watch out when you give them burst. Certificate bonds or any other bonds. Cause he might tell you that they might not be worth anything, do your own research.
This guy Daniel didn't even probably check it out. I took my Birth Certificate bonds. Because I said it was a bond. I checked it on US Treasury direct. And and he said it was a scam, so watch out what people like this. If you have a birth certificate, use for fidelity
I have begged my wife to switch her ed jones account to fidelity.
ОтветитьNice video
ОтветитьSo you don’t like their slogan.
ОтветитьThey are no GOOD Lying Crooks , Especially the Financial advisor I had Jeff Jacques in Michigan. They are only about commissions. I lost huge. I went there for retirement planning. They used my money for their own Financial gain.STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
ОтветитьEdward Jones is pathetic. Pathetic service and pathetic performance. If you happen to get a good advisor and your account actually grows you are lucky. Edward Jones engages in practices that are not in the best interest of the client. The reviews to balance your account is bullshit. They are churning- sell something, buy something. The client loses. Their costs are expensive and their adivce is not so good. Several years ago when I moved my IRA from a bank to Edward Jones I should have been advised about annuities - because of my age. From July 2021 to July 2024 my account lost $500- the market was going well, and the money markets were paying about 4%. Losing $500 ? Total incompetence, or a total lack of scruples, or both. The rep does not reply to my emails. They are dragging their feet about getting my accounts transferred to New York Life annuities. Edward Jones is not a fiduciary. Terrible outfit.
ОтветитьSo where do i go? What do i do? How do i invest into my future? Do i buy etfs? Bonds? Atocks? What? Please he more clear on concise
ОтветитьThey are thieves. Stay far away from Edward Jones. All they care about is commissions. Look for a fee-based fiduciary advisor if you really need help with your finances.
Ответить
