Is it like allowed, or normal to have long done nails for surgical doctors?

It makes me scared to ever have surgery in this country knowing my doctor could be this overworked and sleep deprived. That’s when mistakes happen. Scary for us patients and awful for you and your poor daughter to not see her momma for such long periods. You are an amazing woman! You couldn’t pay me enough to have this schedule!

IDK why they make you work this much in a row. In France when we work 24h, we have safety rest for the next 24h…

You are LITERALLY A LIFE SAVER!! That is your actual job! A million bajillion Thank You’s would never be enough to say how appreciated you are! You are helping people during some of the worst days of their lives & you do it with such care & grace & selflessness, it’s truly aww inspiring. You sacrifice so much of ur time to help others & in my eyes there’s no higher calling! And after allllll you deal with at work, you then go home to bein a wife & Mama & all that comes with that! You Truly Are A Superhero & Simply An Amazing Person! Oh & I agree those hours are insane & should def be cut down, that’s an impossible schedule so more power to ya Mama! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

With all respect to doctor's profession, I highly doubt the quality of care one can provide finishing his 12 hour shift, let alone 72 hours.....this is illegal!

First videos of yours I am watching and I still remember how hectic it is working in a hospital, but I loved it and it is addicting. I worked in materials management for the OR and I still know every single item for a LapChole, LapAppy and LapExpl because we prepped so many every single day and esp on the weekends working 16 hour shifts. Thank you work the work you do because I know how difficult your job is and how hard you work!

I think being called from home is a good thing. I am a doctor in a german hospital. We have to work 24h without coming home or a break. This happens 6 times a month plus our normal 40h week.

The crazy thing about this is I work in manufacturing, nothing crazy but I’m typically so tired I can barely make it through my 8-9 hour shift. I honestly don’t know how you do it. I used to work as a CNA/STNA and had to do doubles sometimes when someone would call off and I swore I’d never go back. I loved helping people but it’s an exhausting field.

I know this is an old video only came across it recently, it's actually sad to see how strenuous and challenging your job is , working all those hours straight can only be so exhausting on your body . You are a good surgeon, the world needs to realize it I people like this that needs all the recognition and good salaries not influencers ! Take it easy burnout is a reality ❤❤❤

Do you have to go back to check on one specific patient? Is there no one else who could fill in for you? I’m genuinely concerned for you + your patients if/when you crash! 😢

I’m a UC, VSG, gallbladder patient, by the way. So very grateful for you and what you do but please try and take care of yourself if you’re feeling depleted and overwhelmed. 🫶

This is so inspiring, I'm a junior in high school and I know that I want to go into the medical field but I have been stuck between going into dermatology, surgeon, attending physician or a nurse practitioner. Watching this helped me get the understanding of how busy working in the medical field specifically being a surgeon really is! You just gained a new subscriber and I will now be binge watching all your videos lol.
