Haha this is kind of gross but, to be fair to all these militaries, Djibouti is allowing them in, and they are educated enough to make their own decisions. Fact is Africa is a becoming a huge trading partner for these nations because of all the rare earth metals leaving the continent through these ports (needed for going carbon neutral). Imagine having a single ship stolen with billions of dollars' worth of minerals and goods on it, or all-out war breaking out in these export countries. The cost to the global supply chain would be immense and none of these countries would like to see that happen, no matter how much they seem to dislike each other.

Ethiopia was not colonised by Italy. A 5 years of occupation with continuing resistance doesn't count as colonisation. Get your facts right😐Apart from that, great video!

A friend of mine who is a high ranking army chaplain spent some time in Djibouti a few years ago. He was in Africa for the better part of a year but was based there in Djibouti. Before that I honestly dont think I had ever heard of the country!

Lemonier in 2011. I’ve been to numerous Middle Eastern and African countries and Djibouti by far had the worst weather. It’s ridiculously hot and humid. It’s overpopulated by goats and everyone is high on Khat. I couldn’t wait to leave that cesspool.

I was on a westpac in 96 that stopped in Djibouti. The port was like a landfill with a dock. Kids picking through trash with massive US navy vessels 100 yards away.
