LETS GO!! Sweetwater is absolutely top notch!
-Indiana Love 💯 🥁
Lightweight is for wimps.
ОтветитьVery happy with PDP 700.
ОтветитьStill happy with my Axis stands, which are lighter than any one of stands in the video! 😉
ОтветитьNick is the best teacher I never had. I could watch him discuss how paint dries and would be inspired and motivated to be a better drummer somehow. Keep up the great work with these videos! Respect the hustle to make them 😊
ОтветитьI love my Tama flat base hardware kit!!!
ОтветитьI can vouch for the Yamaha Crosstown lightweight hardware. I'm in two rock cover bands and they're the lightest weight yet sturdy and rock solid hardware for the gigs I play. One of the best investments I've ever made for my drums and especially my back
ОтветитьI gotta' vouch for Ddrum's Mercury Flatbase Stands, which weren't mentioned but I'll mention them here because Sweetwater does sell them. Super sturdy, very adjustable, and they look cool, too!
ОтветитьGreat video. Thanks
Ответитьthe real question is which one packs up the best?
ОтветитьI have the Yamaha cross town hardware. I beat the shit out of my cymbals, the stands hold up. I use my Pearl snare stand for my snare though. 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
ОтветитьCorrection on the tama hardware. Nick said "roadshow" but it's actually "roadpro"
ОтветитьYamaha Crosstown hardware nuff said, you can interchange sections with other products of the yamaha hardware range, i changed one of the straight crosstown stands into a boom stand using the CH755.
ОтветитьWhat about Tama Classic? I use their pack. It is great! The snare stand is super. Also the hihats stand is so adjusti.ble.
ОтветитьNick is awesome, but he didn't highlight the nicest feature of the Tama RoadPRO (is RoadSHOW a thing?): The convertible tilter that lets you use the stand as either a straight stand or a boom. I can vouch for these guys from years using them in bar/small room gigs. Fantastic workhorse stands.
ОтветитьNo questions asked. Just get the Yamaha Crosstowns! It's like drumming's best kept secret. I have a crash stand I put a 20" medium crash on and it gets the job done when I gig. It practically weights nothing! At home, I still use my heavy duty stands.
ОтветитьNick, I love your demos and assessments. I also admire your skills behind the kit. You are the main reason I still even consider Sweetwater. Lately, the sales staff have been dismissive and lack good communication skills. I’ve requested a microphone case for my Audix mics and was ignored. I called in and got a different sales guy who seemed to be better but it’s been months without any follow up. Thank goodness there’s competition.
ОтветитьThat unique Ludwig tilter looks a lot like a Pearl Gyrolock from 25 years ago. :D
ОтветитьI have the Yamaha cross town hardwair and I love it. I got another cymbal stand to complete my setup. and yes, it is so easy to pick up.
ОтветитьI had one of these DW snare stands and over time the tilt mechanism would slip. the aluminum arms would slowly warp over the weight of the snare and the snare wires would end up touching the bottom of the basket. The adjustable arm also got stuck on the basket and barely worked that well. It's eventual demise was a point of failure near the snare tilt mechanism. From watching this video the ludwig stuff seems pretty legit though. My personal opinion though is lift weights, stay strong and healthy and be able to use legit stands (with legit transport) that are built to last you 30 years instead of 2 years.
ОтветитьCrosstown Yammies, I'm sure the whole rig (2 cymbal stands, snare stand and hi hat) weigh less than one of any of the other stands. I also use Pearl's Bass Drum Hoop Mount Cymbal Holder to fly my ride. I use a Sabian 20" Legacy. Works beautifully !!!
Ответитьthe Yamaha crosstowns are the easily the best of all these options
ОтветитьIts great that we can now have hardware that that is light AND reliable. So important
And Nick, we need more juggling😂.
The regular dw 6000 series i believe is the best not the ultra lite js
ОтветитьI just bought a cupple of Ludwig atles boom stands.Thay look great
ОтветитьI find the lightweight hardware helps the cymbals and drums sing more.
ОтветитьLudwig example of taking the foot stands off to turn them around for height adjustment is a no no.
How many folks have lost rubber feet off of how many stands of the years? Those things are just meant to fall off and get lost forever.
The one thing I wish all these manufactures would do is to design a high hat stand in the light weight catagory that has a swivel stand. Sucks for double pedal players.
best drum throne lightweight ?
ОтветитьSooooo can we get a scale out to define how light these actually are?
ОтветитьSuper informative! Thanks
ОтветитьYou guys have the best infotainment videos like this. Such a good balance of fun yet informative, I could watch all day. Not too cheesy, but not too dry. Just right!
ОтветитьIt's interesting how people still seem to equate heavy music with hitting the drums harder. I've seen death metal drummers barely tap the drums to play as fast as they play, whereas I've seen gospel drummers break multiple heads in a night because they're just laying into them with all of their strength.
Was this point necessary? No
Thanks for the video 👍 very helpful
