I'm not so secretly hoping that you fail to build the pyramids so that you can use the harvests to build petra. That massive lake looks like a great place for Huey, which could be nice since there seem to be a bunch of lakes in your area.

Build the Huey Techali in your capital, it will never have amenity problems again

I like maps like this as England. Space for 4-7 decent cities, then you're forced to sail away to seek the promised land.

I've played England considerably more than any other civ, but i'm still not sure what I think about the changes and how compatible England has become.

Settle coastal cities, early Harbour & Commercial district. Do all you can to get Golden Age... both districts will produce science for the duration of the era.
Choice to head for Tech for Redcoats or Tech for Shipyards. Either way put Civic for 100% ajacency for Harbour and Commercial Hub.
Each city becomes a powerhouse, and each city you take on another continent can get you a melee unit.

I heartily miss the museum though. Was my favourite way to win with them.

Also, had you settled in the hills northeast of your starting location you'd have both freshwater, coast, and the possibility to build the canal

Can anybody explain to me why you should get canals? Like I know they are cool, but I don't see the benefit of them.

You can always have lots of cities on foreign continents by conquering them ;)

Feature names can give clues to what other civs are out there. I assume Teddy lurks on the other side of the Rocky Mountains the he discovered first.

If opportunity comes up, looking to see if you or anyone else has a bug with Reyna. Just finished patch game with Maori where I promoted Reyna to forestry management. Best I could tell I got the plus 1 appeal next to unimproved tiles throughout my whole empire, not just the city she was in.

Don’t under estimate Liang’s Aquaculture promotion. London has two +5food tiles that could be built and your TBN Petra city also has one. Really can accelerate growth and/or allow working more mines.

Can someone explain the point of settling on the horses rather than improving them? He's got the builder and one extra production is a 33% increase out of the gate, and remains a significant boost for quite a few turns.

I have tried to play England, and failed miserably. I can't wait to see what I did wrong, or see if you can conquer with her. I had a joint war declared on me by Tibet and Canada just because Tibet settled a city too close to mine and then complained several times that I was settling too close to them.

Hopefully I’m in this one as well I have a wonderful relationship with the English and we would work very well together but rest assured I will most likely reach Mars first

Good stuff. In your situation I would probably go for an early horse rush vs blue, you can get sick resources from pillaging and slow him down even if you didn't want his cities :)

Been watching alot of these so called deity games, I was wondering how it is in yours, the ai isn't an entire era ahead from the start of the game. By the time I have 4-5 districts down, the ai has knights, crossbows and pikemen running around ripping up my backyard, but in your games they're still in medieval..

I find the accent entertaining and whimsical, but for the first time you said something that I had no idea what you meant and had to keep going back to listen to it over and over to figure it out haha.
