A little tip about Portillo's, order the beef and Italian sausage combo, get red sauce on the side, and for 50 cents you can buy a additional bread roll! You now have 2 sammich's 😅

I visited Portillo's in Scottsdale, AZ. Had to laugh as half the cars in the parking lot had IL license plates on them! I love Portillo's, and Al's Beef and Buona... Great stuff!!!

I'm originally from Chicago as well I now live in Texas and I MISS MY ITALIAN BEEF 😢!! they don't even know what that is down here OMG!! All they know is that damn brisket which is good but there is nothing better than a Italian beef sandwich from Chicago. I WANT TO GO HOME just to get that doggone sandwich!!! I have bought the meat and had the butcher slice the meat for me and made my own it was very delicious I must say but it's nothing like the real thing. Somebody please send me one!!😂

Went to graduate school in Chicago and also lived there for approx. 15 years. Didn’t really eat many Italian beef sandwiches when I was there. But the other day I saw that there was a Portillo’s that opened up in my new city (Denton, TX) and decided to go. I got one of those beefs with the sausage. It was delicious. Now I regret not having more of these when I lived in Chicago.

They recently opened a Portillo's by my house. Order delivery from them all the time. Place is always busy, they have to use employees in the drive through to call in orders to the kitchen way in advance just to keep up with the take out window

I live about twenty minutes from that location and I drive forty minutes plus the time to get my order for the Italian beef. With mozzarella dipped with extra hot peppers and three sides of gravy is my order.

The Maxwell Street Polish is fantastic along with that decadent chocolate cake, yummy!!

i’m so sorry you had to eat Portillo‘s🫣😵 I live in Chicago and one just popped up in my neighborhood and Logan Square. But you have to think there’s so many traditional Chicago bodega places to get Italian beef that are packed with beef and flavor..$9 with fires and a pop👌🏽 always hit up the hole in the walls if you’re trying to get an Italian beef and Chicago
