Great video! I'm a printer by work including laser. We don't laser leather, but my boss wanted me to try it. The smell was awful even though the machine is vented. All that to ask, does engraving leather smell badly? Thanks.
ОтветитьI have been thinking about getting procreate (and therefore an ipad) for a while to make my artwork easier to put into print! You make it sound easy so I might re look at it.
ОтветитьA very thorough review Jane! Looks like a great bit of kit 😊
ОтветитьExcellent review Janey. Very interesting, I learned stuff so that’s always good. Love the bookmarks. I may be contacting you about those. 😅 Thx for sharing this video. 😊
ОтветитьThanks for the card case! It’s fab, even with the extra holes!! Now we need to decide what to laser engraver on it!!
ОтветитьGood Luck @ the craft fair!!!
Ответить❤ lush kit hun loving the leather goodness 😂❤😂x
ОтветитьIt’s great to see you doing so well with your laser, you are doing what I wanted to do with mine. But instead it’s sitting there gathering dust unused for ages now. My brain is all over the place at the moment and right now it’s focusing on the gaming stuff rather than the laser cutting or the photography. I don’t have to put any effort in to the gaming, it’s just sit down and play it. The photography and laser all require a lot of effort and I’m just not there yet. I’ll give it this year to see if I use either, if not I’ll sell it all again and see where my creativity wants to go if it comes back any time soon. Keep up the good work Jane, and good luck at the craft fair xx
ОтветитьSuper cool tool !
ОтветитьCharming as always!
ОтветитьAmazing to see the new ideas are coming along sweetie xx
ОтветитьHEY THERE JANE, GOOD INFORMATION FOR THOSE PERSUEING THIS LINE OF CRAFTING!! LIKE THE BOOK MARKERS!! I'M GLAD YOUR GOING TO SHARE YOUR UPCOMING CRAFT SHOW. Do take care. Fl., USA
ОтветитьLovely video
ОтветитьI have studio envy! This might be a cheeky question, but - could you share how you package your bookmarks? I'll be selling Fair Isle bookmarks in my new shop, but I can't find any outer packaging that would be good for bookmarks without creating a lot of unnecessary packaging waste! Even just padded envelopes - the ones that are long enough are far too wide. Just wondering how other bookmark makers send them!
ОтветитьWhat leather do you use? Curious of weight and if it’s pre-finished or do you dye? Thanks for the info and time.
ОтветитьGreat video, future work opening in talking books 😉😎
ОтветитьBest of luck at your craft fair. I have a 10 watt XTool and I love, love, love it. One day I will move up to their higher watt machines but one day at a time. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьYou are an absolute delight.
ОтветитьThis was so informative! Thank you!
ОтветитьHello. I quite enjoyed your video on laser engraving leather. It appears that you have only now had your XTool S1 for a number of months. As I am considering purchasing an engraver for leather working, I am interested to know if you are still satisfied with it's results. Any recommendations or suggestions you could pass along would be very much appreciated. Thank you. Cliff
ОтветитьBy the way. The work you doing and the items you are creating are beautiful.
Ответитьyou can use the same stamp for any letter you need, when that letter comes up, dont need to buy more
ОтветитьLast night I dreamed about a machine. I was told that if I could figure out how to operate it, I would have the job! Later, I was watching YT and saw the machine! It was a lazer engraver...
ОтветитьWhat brush do you use for tracing if you don’t mind! And thank you for this video
ОтветитьBrilliant video.
I'm looking at going down this path but know nothing about laser cutters. Could you tell me the largest size project this machine is able to do.
Thanks
Hi we're looking for laser engraver - but we want to do a lot of small wallets at the same time - pls show us how
ОтветитьHow do you determine the distance for the leather using M1 Ultra?
ОтветитьI use my Xtool S1 40w to engrave text on leather projects and cut them out. The charring is horrible, but I use Q-tips and alcohol to remove most of the black edges on the leather. It is awful to use for stitching holes, as the thread comes out all dingy and black. Unless you're using black thread then no one notices.
But I recommend using the laser to engrave or mark the stitching holes, and then you have marks where to punch by hand, and no charring. And the holes will be perfectly aligned.
