My BM and I were dealing with something similar... I met her when she was 19 and I was 25. Then we started officially being a couple a year later... I'm 44 now and I think she's 39 ... We have a daughter together.. and we did fairly well through all of our years together even tho I PERSONALLY PUT HER THROUGH ALOT especially in my mid 30s.. she was no angel either but I know I was being a real POS.. and with all of that said we still got through it together... And kinda rode out the end of the 2010s still together and still in love .. then the pandemic happened.... and with that I kinda went a lil crazy and started using.. and she knew and she was still trying to love me even tho she didn't agree and eventually ...we both kinda outgrew each other and she essentially fell out of love w/ me after all I put her through and It was a hard pill to swallow... She left in December of 2023 and I thought i was gonna lose it ...but then a month went by.. then 3 then ,several and I STARTED TO LOVE MY INDEPENDENCE...


Needless to say it was kinda the best thing that could've happened to us...and we're still great friends and co parenting... But when she left I felt I initially prob felt almost similar to dude like I didn't know how to finally accept that after almost 20 years we finally were gonna officially call it quits....but like I said it was one of the best things that happened to me now.. now that I can reflect a year later .. I wish most of these ppl who do things like this had the insight to understand that no matter how hard it is to loose someone you live.... it'll always be GREATER LATER.. now this dude will never know. And obviously neither will she.. rip to her and condolences to her friends and family
