Thank you for this technique. I can see how this would help even as I'm walking to help train my body and brain to slow down and lessen any stress or anxiety. The brain is amazing and and can be very complex, but when you learn things like this, it's amazing how much change can happen. I'm definitely starting this as soon as possible. I'll be sounding Taps on May 29th 24 times for the 24 notes in Taps and in between each one I can take the time to do this exercise. Taps is very emotional to me because I play from the heart in honor of all those who served. I have 3 events on Monday to sound Taps for as well.

Amazing video and explanation! My situation is more of a PTSD. Long story short, I ruptured a lip muscle when playing trumpet and whenever I perform (in pain) I anticipate the failing notes and get horrible anxiety. I stopped playing entirely for now. Any advice on lip injuries? Where can I seek help regarding this? Thanks in advance. You’re awesome
