Apple gets credit for being first for everything when they were infact not for a lot of it. What they were first for was getting it right and bringing it mainstream. That is, and always will be their niche.

I was implying that the Pure Android OS is designed specifically for Google's own Nexus devices. We can say the same thing about apple saying, "apple doesn't make the hardware for their iphones" (i.e., Sony's makes the Camera; LG makes the Retina Display screen; Samsung makes the Processor).

Not so much the case for apple anymore. i.e., apple maps was a disaster. Notification is obstructive. Airdrop is significantly limited. Data & talk can't be used simultaneously on certain carriers like Verizon & Sprint. Limited control center. Too much "work around" to accomplish simple task. Stubborn about 4" phone screen & 7" tablet screens.

It's not there... but I think it's because I live in Canada and not US.

what i try to say is: apple makes hardware and os together, so they can innovate on both side (hardware and os) seamlessly. you said before that android has 64-bit ability long ago, but no hardware implements it right? coz they can focus on the os only. imho and yes, i agree, nexus is great, it's the only android device that runs jelly bean perfectly, i was impress when it first came out... but still, i prefer ios for the smoothness and choices of apps :p (many apps are available on ios only).

The 2010 Google Nexus S was the first Android to utilize NFC chip which innovated on both "hardware" and "OS." Just because apple was the 1st to shove a 64 bit processor in a phone, doesn't mean anything if the device & user can't benefit from it. Much like you, I prefer Nexus over iOS for the smoothness and choices of apps (many apps are also available on Android only. i.e., Titanium Backup; fully functional Google Now; widgets; swype keyboard; DSLR remote; Floating windows ; Adblock; DLNA;etc

i mean like this: many feature like (for instance) fingerprint sensor, it woud be too complicated to make in the android world, because os and hardware are from different company, except if they choose to work together... yeah, we live in the different world, (no offence) if you cuztomize your phone too often, things like apps crash, not stable and your phone wouldn't be smooth again, i feel relieved with the stability and easy to use from ios (again, this is just my preference). imho.

and, DSLR remote and adblock are available on ios :p

"Stability?" It is a known fact that pure Android suffers less app crashes in comparison to iOS (Source: Forbes). In my personal experience, my Nexus devices (Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, 2013 Nexus 7) has been more stable then my iOS devices (iphone 4S, ipad 3, ipod touch 4th Gen).

o yeah? i just know the article... imo that's because you don't cuztomise your phone too much, much android user i know, hack their phone (by rooting, etc). and i think apps crashed in ios because they use cracked apps... pure android you mean os android tn the right hardware? if you compare nexus and iphone, it's comparable (i mean, nexus is a good phone/tablet). can you show your experience with iphone 4s? i use it myself. and want to know your opinion...

Apps that constantly crashes on my iOS devices would be Safari, Pandora, Lexicomp (I'm a Registered Nurse), and Google Maps to name a few. This is with & without Jailbreak and on iOS 6. I didn't factor in iOS 7 because of it being in beta stage. My Nexus devices on stock ROM, with & without Root, has been phenomenally more stable then my experience on iOS. I used to stand by iOS's stability. Nexus changed my perception of that.

if your safari constantly crash, then you need to restore it! i think there's something wrong with the os & you need to restore.. btw thanks for your sharing...

well, that's weird.. i'm using iphone 4s for almost a year and don't have that issue, hope that i wouldn't get that issue in the future :D

One REAL bad thing about iOS 7's camera app: NO SELF-TIMER!! If there is a hidden self-timer please let me know. . . . I'd have wanted a BIGGER SCREEN instead of new operating system. A BIGGER SCREEN with the new 64-bit A7 processor and M7 motion-tracking chip would have put Apple back on top. . . .
