鎗火是金融風暴餘波時期的作品。金融風暴時期的香港電影特色是cast強、演員少、製作成本低。因為製作預算有限，所以導演更加著重用用當時獨特的拍攝手法去加強電影效果。而這種獨特的拍攝手法繼續用來拍2006年的放.逐和2008年的復仇。這三部電影成為經典的鎗火三部曲。

ive watched this movie so many times, but theres 1 scene that i dont quite understand, the beginning after the sniper on the roof situation, when they got home, why did Ng Vibrating Fish kick Soya Sauce Kings ass? and why didnt he fight back? i thought maybe Fish was angry because Soya took the crew home without him, but then i thought, its Fish own fault for leaving the scene when Soya said dont chase him...

Perfect casting for this movie.
This band of brothers played off each other so well.

Man.. this movie is beautiful. Each and every scene is well planned and organised like a painting drawn by a great artist. A number to be remembered, one of the best cult action movies of Hong Kong. Well done, bravo!

I like this movie a lot, one of the best local movies, well scripted, awesome cinematography and great soundtrack. There are many little details throughout that I didn't catch until I watched it a few times after, or someone actually pointed it out.

The one scene that I feel can be edited better is the alley sniper scene. The bodyguards reacted and grabbed their guns after two shots were fired by the snipers, which were about two three seconds apart. I would've thought these guys, being that good, would respond quicker. Seems to me it feels more "right" if their reaction is put before the second shot was fired.

We can only pray for a better release of this one day. My DVD looks like complete shit, could be a fucking bootleg it looks so bad. And the digital version on amazon is warped to hell.

This has to be the coolest of the cool. I love the dialogue and the lack of it. 陽氣熾烈.

What a stylistic movie, just oozes such a feeling of charm. I find all Johnnie To films to be like this.
