福建省，简称“闽”，地处中国东南沿海，东南隔台湾海峡与台湾省相望。
全省地势西北高，东南低，呈“依山傍海”态势，境内山地、丘陵面积约占全省总面积的90%；属亚热带海洋性季风气候。
全省陆地面积12.4万平方公里，海域面积13.6万平方公里。
福建历史代表文化为“八闽文化”，对外交流历史悠久，宋元时期泉州是世界知名商港、海上丝绸之路起点，是郑和下西洋的驻泊地和开洋地，也是海上商贸集散地。全国著名侨乡，现旅居世界各地的闽籍华人华侨1580万人，闽籍港澳同胞120多万人，80%以上台湾民众祖籍在福建。

Fujian's historical representative culture is "Eight Fujian Culture" and has a long history of foreign exchanges. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, Quanzhou was a world-famous commercial port and the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road. It was the anchorage and opening place for Zheng He's voyages to the West, and it was also a maritime trade distribution center.
