Samsung Star II Review

@97hazz its the improved version of the tocco lite but i think its called the star in the us in the uk its the tocco icon

This is just a regular phone right? Not a smartphone? I like the design and have been looking for a good touchphone for texting and good calls.

Star 2 sucks, it's very slow and complicated

However the screen itself is small. I have small hands as it is and still had trouble texting on the tiny keyboard. Numerous typos were made and backspacing is difficult because it is so close to the "Back" button. Same can be said about letter A and the Shift/Caps lock key. So if you text a lot and are impatient, don't get this phone. It WILL irritate you. With predictive texting it still can cause trouble as typing lags with it on. Sometimes you get words you dont want. My review: 6/10

I had this phone so I'll give my 2cents. I will only cover stuff the guy here didn't go over indepth. Call quality for this phone is pretty good. I never had issues with hearing or being heard. Even with calls in low signal areas I could hear others with little trouble. The phone does a great job of keeping at least 2-3 bars in the worst areas. Battery life is impeccable. 1 charge lasted me days with regular texting and calls. Touch screen is responsive and easy to navigate and use.

Since I dont like either iphone nor HTC i got this phone and Im realy happy with it. Bear in mind I use phone ONLY to make calls, send texts, send / check e-mails and listen to the music. I dont care about games, apps and stuff like that and for that perpouse this phone is quite good. It's a mobile phone, not a next gen smarthphone. This is just a simple moblie phone that does extreamly well simple things (calls, sms, emails). And that's all that I need in a phone.

its not thicker than tocco lite i have both phones right here its longer yeah. they should of kept the same screen that the tocco lite has because its more responsive

textin on this phone is a nightmare i will say that. the buttons are far to close and small so you keep pressing the buttons next to the one you want so it does spaces willy nilly caps on off turning predictive text on n off. ive sent no end of half messages because trying to sort n back track my message. big fingers no chance of using text you will need a better phone.

@Princesita1709 presiona donde dice widget y manten pulsado el pequeño menu y arrastra sin soltarlo hasta los pequeños iconos que hay en la parte de abajo y listo

@Fletcherismine No! Get an Android or iOS Device! The software in this is pretty much the same (limited) With android or even Blackberry OS you get more flexibility and you get more than just a phone. ;) Cheers

@Fletcherismine if you get this you will be dissapointed i have a friend that got this 1 week ago its slow as f*ck and its shit i have a nokia c6-01 and its 300x better even if its symbian and not android

Hii I installed a kd player java mp3 player and every time after a 2 min the music stop because the phone lock screen and enter in standby After unlock the phone the music continue but after 2 min the phone lock again How to set to lock the phone manual (from side button only)I searched all the phone and did not find The original music player have a lot of lag Don t know if this is common or only to my phone know someone a firmware that contain chinese language Please help
