Along with mining that WatchOS11 Training Load and whatever Woop has for long term regression/progression tracking. That whole Dr Andy Galpin Performance Podcast episode: Avoid Fitness Plateaus, Overtraining & Mis-Timed Performance Peaks has so many downstream things to consider. Getting to escape velocity depending upon the target race or event is different from staying in orbit with a mindful deload where necessary.

ОтветитьMy biggest fitness mistake was I was overtraining. Bc when I had my perfect weight and stamina I was so hypedand I thought that I should add more pilates, stretching or something. And I ended frustrated, tired. Now I know, girl just move, you are fine. You don't have to do all the things at the same time.
ОтветитьI absolutelly love this video!❤ Though I've been on my fitness journey for some years now I'm still guilty of neglecting my abs. I'm glad you've listed 20 mistakes because now I can see how many of them I did and how much I've improved. I would only add one - caring too much about your looks and/or outfit. I know I would have started training sooner if it hadn't been for my anxiety that I had to look similarly to the top influencers just to go out for a run.😢

ОтветитьLoved all these points, very helpful! I also wipe my phone down when I get home, but I tear them in half and leave the other side in the package for the next day. For a small surface like my phone it’s plenty and it makes a package last longer, so less waste overall.

ОтветитьExpanding on the gloves. They actually worsen your grip since they make everything you grip slightly thicker and they don't actually help with your grip strength. Instead, get yourself some leather strap grips like Versa Gripps or similar style ones. They'll make your grip rock solid (meaning the muscle you're training is the limiting factor, not your grip strength) and they'll help against calluses.

ОтветитьNot wiping down gym equipment. Please forgive me, but I started at the abandoned community gym. I had to learn the hard way. 😬 I've wiped after other people because they might not know.
ОтветитьThank you for the clarity made on cardio. What I got is that cardio only takes away from muscle goals when you let it take the place of strength training. Going for runs and my peloton bike rides don’t need to feel frivolous. They are the tasty whipped cream and cherry on top of my week’s routine. Not priority but delicious.

ОтветитьCrying about the weightlifting gloves omg 😂 I personally use them because metal weights are super sensory bad for me and they leave a metallic smell on my hands and it's just nicer not to have that, but I see your point about aesthetics definitely (ahem, people with volleyball sleeves, ahem)

We know we should be touching grass, but what effects would it have? I personally found spending more time in nature to be helpful for my grieving journey
